Günümüz dünyasında işletmelerin geçmiş durumlarını görmeleri, geçmiş durumlarına bakarak gelecekle ilgili doğru kararlar alabilmeleri ve kaynakları etkin bir şekilde kullanabilmeleri için bilgiye olan ihtiyaçları zorunlu hale gelmiştir. İşletme içinde en önemli bilgilerden biri olan finansal bilgilere firmaların iyi yönetilmesi aşamasında oldukça gereksinim duyulmaktadır. Finansal bilgilerin işletme içerisinde sistemli bir şekilde kayıt altına alınması ve bunların ihtiyaç duyan birimler tarafından kullanılmaya hazır hale getirilmesi finansal bilgi sistemini oluşturmaktadır. Bu bağlamda finansal bilgi sistemi, işletmelerde her yönetim düzeyindeki yöneticinin etkin karar alabilmesi ve başarılı olabilmesi, doğru bilgiyi, doğru biçimde, doğru yerde ve tam zamanında elde edebilmesine aracılık eden bir sistem olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bilindiği gibi işletmeler belirli işletme fonksiyonları yardımıyla sistematik ve en iyi şekilde yönetilebilmektedir. İşletme içindeki her bir fonksiyonun finansal bilgi sistemiyle olan ilişkisi bu çalışmanın esasını oluşturmaktadır. Buna göre bu tez çalışmasında, genel itibariyle finansal bilgi sisteminden bahsedilmiş, işletme fonksiyonlarına değinilmiş ve finansal bilgi sisteminin işletme fonksiyonlarına etkisi bir uygulamayla analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Anket yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada, Aydın ilinde faaliyet gösteren limited ve anonim şirketlerin genel özellikleri, finansal bilgi sistemini kullanım amaçlarının önem derecesi, bu işletmelerdeki finansal bilgi sisteminin işletme fonksiyonları üzerine etkisi, finansal bilgi sisteminden en fazla yarar sağlayan işletme fonksiyonu ve finansal bilgi üretiminde karşılaşılan sorunlar ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. In today's world in which the information is very important, the need of the information of the businesses has become obligatory in order to look back to their histories, to make correct decisions through looking back and to use the resources effectively. The financial information- among the most important information for the businesses- is required especially at the stage of management success. The chaining of the financial information in the company systematically and making them ready for the units in need compose the financial information system. In that sense, the financial information system appear to be a system that helps the menager in every management unit to make correct decisions and become successfull, to acquire exact information, exact information in an exact way, exact information at the right point and in time. As it is known, the companies are run systematically and ideally by the help of some certain business functions The relationship between each function and the financial information system composes the bases of our study. According to this, in this study, the financial information system is mentioned, the business functions are touched on and the effect of the financial information system on the business functions is tried to be analyzed through an application. In this study, in which a survey method is employed, the general characteristics of limited and incorporated companies functioning in Aydın City, the importance degree of the use intentions of the financial information systems and the effect of the financial information system used in these companies, the business function that gets the most benefit from the financial information system and the problems at the production of financial information are tried to be revealed.
