2007 Haziran ayında ABD konut sektöründe başlayan ve 2008 Eylül ayında küresel bir boyut kazanan krizin oluşumuna zemin hazırlayan birçok makroekonomik neden bulunmaktadır. Gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan bütün ekonomileri etkisi altına alan krizin etkilerini azaltmaya yönelik, zamanlaması ve boyutu ülkeden ülkeye farklılıklar arz etmekle birlikte, genel olarak benzer para, maliye ve finansman politikaları uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulamalar neticesinde, küresel ekonomide 2009 yılının ikinci yarısından itibaren toparlanma işaretleri görülse de, kalıcı düzelme sürecinin önünde önemli riskler olduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde; ekonomik kriz kavramının anlamı ve nasıl meydana geldiği, krizlerin türlerinin neler olduğu ve bu türlerden bankacılık, para ve finans krizleri tanımlanmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde; 2008 krizinin nasıl başladığı, nedenleri, etkileri ve Türkiye.ye yansımaları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca günümüze kadar yaşanmış olan önemli krizlere değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde; Mersin ili tanıtılmış, Mersinin ekonomik yapısı işlenmiştir. Bu bölümde Mersin Limanından gerçekleştirilen ticaret ve yapılan ticaretin ayrıntıları incelenmiştir. Bu Çalışmada, 2008 ekonomik krizinin Mersin Limanı üzerindeki etkileri tartışılmak istenmiştir. There are a lot of macroeconomic reasons leading up to occur the crisis which has begun in USA mortgage sector in June 2007 and attained a global dimension in September 2008. In order to lessen effects of the crisis which gets all developed and developing countries under its influence, generally, similar monetary, fiscal and financing policies whose timing and dimension showed diversities from country to country have been applied. In consequence of this applications, even if recovery signs has been seen since second half 2009, it is thought that there are important risks in front of permanent recovery process. . In the first study, the meaning of the concept of economic crisis and how it occurred, what types of crises, and these species, banking, currency and financial crises are defined. The second part of this study, how the economic crisis of 2008 began, the causes of crisis, affects the world economy and repercussions to Turkey economies is tried to examine. Also important is lived up to the present crisis has been mentioned and which crisis the most important on the past try to examine. As Well as which crisis the most important on the past try to examined. In the third section, introduced in the province of Mersin, Mersin economic structure is studied. This section examined the details of the trade and commerce in the port of Mersin. In this study, were asked the effects of 2008 global world crisis to Mersin port trade.
