Gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomik alanda varlığını devam ettirebilmesi için gerekli olan temel niteliklerden biri, gelişmiş ülkelerdeki gibi güçlü bir ekonomik yapıya sahip olmaktır. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerin güçlü bir ekonomik yapıya sahip olabilmeleri için sürdürülebilir ekonomik büyümeye ihtiyaçları vardır. Bunun için ekonomik büyümenin dinamiklerine sahip olmak ve bu dinamikleri etkin kullanarak geliştirmek gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle son zamanlarda gelişmiş ülkelerde olduğu gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde de ihracat ile büyüme arasındaki ilişki ön plana çıkmıştır. Türkiye'de ise bu süreç, ithalata dayalı sanayileşme stratejisinin terk edildiği ve ihracata dayalı sanayileşme stratejisinin benimsendiği 1980'li yıllarda başlamıştır.Türkiye'de, 1980'den sonra ihracata dayalı sanayileşme stratejisinin benimsenmesiyle birlikte ihracat ile büyüme arasındaki ilişki önem kazanmış ve sanayi malları özelliklede imalat sanayi ön plana çıkmıştır. Nitekim 1980 sonrası dışa açık sanayileşme politikasından sonra, ihracat içerisinde sanayi ürünlerinin payı gittikçe artış göstermiş ve imalat sanayi toplam sanayi üretiminin %90-95'lik kısmını oluşturmuştur. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmanın amacı, 1994-2009 arası döneme ait üç aylık veri kullanılarak, ihracat içinde önemli yere sahip olan imalat sanayi ihracatı ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkiyi eşanlı denklem sistemleri yöntemlerinden iki aşamalı en küçük kareler (2AEK) ve üç aşamalı en küçük kareler (3AEK) yöntemlerini kullanılarak analiz etmektir.Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda öncelikle Hausmann ve Granger nedensellik testlerinden yararlanılarak imalat sanayi ihracatı ile ekonomik büyüme değişkenleri arasındaki eşanlılık ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Analizlerden elde edilen sonuçlar; Hausmann testinde, eşanlı ilişkinin varlığını; Granger nedensellik testine ise bu iki değişken arasında çift yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin varlığını göstermiştir. Ayrıca yapılan 2AEK ve 3AEK yöntemleri kullanılarak büyüme ve imalat sanayi ihracat denklemleri arasında eşanlılk ilişkisi bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak çalışmada içsel büyüme teorilerini destekleyen sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.
One of the basic attributes for the sustainability of developing countries in the economics field to have a sound economic structure as in the developed countries. In order to have a sound economic structure the developing countries need a sustainable economic growth. To achieve this, it is required to acquire the dynamics of economic growth and to use these dynamics efficiently. Therefore, recently the correlation between export and growth came into prominence. In Turkey, this process began in 1980.s when export oriented industrialization strategy was adopted and import oriented industrialization strategy was abandoned. With the adoption of export oriented industrialization strategy in Turkey after 1980 the correlationbetween and growth gained significance and industrialization goods particularly production industry came into prominence. Thus, adoption of outward oriented industrialization policy after 1980 the share of industrial goods in exports increased more and more and production industry constituted 90-95 %of total industrial production. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the correlation between production industry exportand economic growth which has an important place in export by using two stage least square estimates (2SLS) three stage least square estimates (3SLS). In accordance to the objective of the study primarily Hausmann and Granger causality tests were utilized and simultaneity correlation between production industry and economic growth variables was researched. The results obtained from the analysis demonstrated the existence of simultaneous correlation in Haussmann test and bilateral causality relationship between these two variables in Granger causality test. Besides using 2SLS and 3SLS methods simultaneity correlation was found between growth and production industry. Consequently, results supporting internal growth theorieswere accessed in this study.
