Kapitalist üretim tarzının daha fazla kâr elde etme istenci tarımsal üretim ilişkilerinin dinamiklerini de derinden etkilemekte ve dönüştürmektedir. Kapitalist üretim ilişkilerine dayanan tarımsal etkinliklerin doğa üzerinde derin ve geri dönülemez zararları her geçen gün yaygınlaşmaktadır. Tarımsal üretiminde fazla ve kaliteli ürün elde etmek için çeşitli kimyasalların kullanılması gittikçe yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bu kimyasalların en önemlileri pestisitler ve gübrelerdir. Pestisitler tarım zararlıları ve hastalıklarını yok etmek amacıyla kullanılan tarımsal ilaçlardır. Günümüzde pestisitler üreticiler tarafından çevreye ve insan hayatına verdiği zararlar göz ardı edilerek yoğun ve bilinçsiz bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır.Çalışmada tarım ilacı kullanımını etkileyen sosyolojik faktörler 'insan ya da doğa merkezlilik' gerilimi kuramsal odağında araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi Eğirdir Gölü Havza'sında elma üretimi yapılan ve buna bağlı olarak yoğun bir şekilde pestisit tüketilen 5 köyden seçilmiştir. (Serpil, Yukarı Gökdere, Kırıntı, Balkırı ve Tepeli Köyleri). Köylerde 123 çiftçi ile görüşülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre çiftçilerin çevre kirliliği ve tarım ilaçları konusunda yeterince bilgili olmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Üreticiler üretim sürecinde çevre duyarlılığından ziyade, daha çok kar elde etme isteği ve piyasa koşullarının etkileri ile hareket etmektedirler. Bu nedenle çiftçilerin çevre bilincinin zayıf olduğu ve çevreye karşı duyarlı olmadıkları görülmüştür. Ayrıca çiftçiler geleneksel üretim tarzını devam ettirmekte, uzmanlık sistemlerine yeterince güvenmemekte ve tarım ilacı kullanımında geleneksel etkileyenlerin (akrabalık, komşuluk gibi) yönlendirmeleri ile hareket etmektedirler. The volition of capitalist production style to make more profit also affects and converts the dynamics of agricultural relations of production deeply.The deep and irreversible damages of agricultural activities depending on capitalist relations of production are becoming widespread on nature day by day.The use of various chemicals in order to obtain more and quality products in agricultural production is increasingly becoming widespread.The most important ones of these chemicals are pesticides and fertilizers.Pesticides are agricultural medicines which are used to shatter agricultural pests and diseases. Nowadays, pesticides are being used intensively and unconsciously by ignoring the harms done to environment and human life by producers. In the study, the sociological factors which affect the use of pesticides have been investigated on the theoratical aspect of human or nature centeredness tension.The samples of the study have been chosen from 5 villages in Eğirdir Lake Basin where apple production is done and so pesticides are consumed intensively. (Serpil, Yukarı Gökdere, Kırıntı, Balkırı and Tepeli Villages).123 farmers were talked face to face in villages.According to the results, it was found out that the farmers are not well-informed enough about the environmental pollution and pesticides.The producers are acting upon making more profit and the effects of market conditions rather than environmental awareness during the production process.Therefore, it was found out that the farmers? environmental awareness is weak and they are not environmentally-conscious . On the other hand, the farmers are keeping traditional production style, do not trust the expert systems enough and acting upon the guide of traditional influencers (such as relationship, neighbourhood,etc.) about the use of pesticides.
