Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi’nde okumakta olan öğrencilerin üniversite yaşamından memnuniyetini etkileyen çeşitli faktörleri öğrencilerin, stresle ilişkili faktörlerini, bazı sosyo-demografik (cinsiyet, ekonomik durum, anne eğitim durumu, anne çalışma durumu vb.) ve eğitimlerine özgü özelliklerini de (fakülte, başarı durumu, öğretim türü, barınma durumu vb.) göz önünde bulundurarak incelemektir.Araştırmada 2011-2012 Eğitim ve Öğretim yılında kayıt yaptıran ve SDÜ merkez kampüsünde yer alan fakültelerde okuyan öğrenciler arasından rasgele seçilen 2500 kişiye anket uygulanmış ve 2043 öğrenciye ait geçerli veri kullanılmıştır.Ekonometrik analizler için memnuniyet durumu “çok memnun veya memnun” ve “Hiç memnun değil veya memnun değil” olanlar alınmıştır. Böylece kararsızlar dışındaki 1465 öğrencinin memnuniyet durumu, yukarıda ifade edilen değişkenlerde göz önüne alınarak, Doğrusal Olasılık Modeli, Probit ve Logit ekonometrik modelleri kullanılarak incelenmiştir.Yapılan analizler sonucunda, stres oluşturucu faktörler ölçeğindeki artışın öğrencinin üniversite yaşamındaki memnuniyetini azalttığı görülmüştür. Yani, stres faktörü yüksek olan bir öğrencinin üniversite yaşamından memnun olma olasılığı daha düşüktür. Ayrıca öğrencilerin üniversite yaşamından memnuniyeti, öğrencilerin anne eğitim durumundan etkilenmekte ve daha yüksek kültüre sahip bir anneye sahip öğrencinin üniversite yaşamından beklentisi daha yüksek olmaktadır. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the factors affecting the university life satisfaction of students at Suleyman Demirel University considering stress-related factors, some socio-demographic variables (gender, economic status, maternal education, maternal employment status, etc.) and education-specific features (faculty, the success status, type of education, housing status, etc.).In this research, the data was obtained from randomly chosen 2500 main-campus students who enrolled the academic year of 2011-2012 at Suleyman Demirel University and for the analysis, only valid 2043 survey data were used. In econometric analysis, students’ university life satisfaction status were taken as "very satisfied or satisfied" and "not at all satisfied or not satisfied" and the status of "undiceded" obtion was removed from the data. Thus, the total of 1465 students’ satisfaction status were taken into account and considering various related variables some econometric analysis were carried out.As the consequences of analysis carried out; it has seen that the increase in stress genarating factros reduces students’ college life satisfaction. Namely, the probability of the student’s satisfaction of university life whose stress factor is high, is lower than the others. Also, the university life satisfaction depends on the parents’ education status, and the students whose mother has higher education level have higher expectations from university life so they have low probability of satisfaction.
