İnsan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamaları, işletmenin performansının arttırılmasında önemli bir etkendir. Bu çalışma ise insan kaynakları yönetimi uygulamalarından bir tanesi olan personel seçme işlemi sırasında yöneticilerin kadın personel seçme sebeplerinin örgütsel performans üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı örgütsel performans değişkenlerinden bir tanesi olan kadın personelin işletmeye sağladığı finansal ve finansal olmayan performans göstergeleri üzerine çalışmaktır. Çalışmada ise ITSO'da faaliyet gösteren perakende sektöründen 261 işletme incelenmiştir. Yönetici gözüyle kadın personelin perakende sektöründe tercih sebepleri ele alınmış ve tercih sebeplerinin gerçekten istenilen sonucu verip vermediği örgütsel performans ölçülerek incelenmiştir. Human resources management practices are an important factor in enhancing the performance of the organization. This study analyzes the reasons for which managers employ woman employees during the personnel-choosing procedure, which is a human resources management practice; and the effects of this procedure on organizational performance. The purpose of this study is to look into an organizational performance variable: the financial and non-financial performance outcomes that are provided by woman employees. In our field study, 261 enterprises from the retail sector that operate at ITSO have been examined. From the perspective of managers, the reasons for the preference of woman personnel have been examined and whether these reasons have given the desired outcomes have been observed through the measurement of organizational performance.
