Bu çalışmanın amacı; açık bir sistem olan işletmelerin uzak ve yakın çevre etkenlerinden ne derecede etkilendiği, bu etkiler sonucunda hangi kurumsal (üst yönetim) stratejilerine yöneldiğini ortaya koymaktır. Çevre etkenleri her örgütü etkilediği gibi işletmeleri de etkilemekte ve işletmeler bu faktörlerin etkisi ile birlikte finansal, performans ve işletme itibarı gibi önemli değerlerine bazen tehdit oluştururken, bazen de fırsatlar sağlayabilmektedir. İşletmeler hangi çevre etkeninin tehdit hangi çevre etkeninin fırsat olduğunu veya hangi çevre etkeninin işletme faaliyetlerine etki etmediğini bilmek ve bu duruma göre çevre etkenleri algısını geliştirmelidir. Günümüzde, genellikle gelişmekte olan ülkelerde inşaat sektörü lokomotif sektör olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Kendisine bağlı 200’e yakın alt sektörü tetikleyici bir unsur olması, sektörün ülke ekonomisi için önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Ağustos 2014’te yayınlanan Uluslararası inşaat sektörü dergisi ENR'ın (Engineering News Record) verilerine göre Dünyanın en büyük 250 firmasından 42’sinin Türk firması olduğunu ifade etmektedir. Uluslararası pazarda kendine önemli bir yer edinen Türk firmlarının artan sayısının Türk ekonomisine sağlayacağı faydaları da göz önünde bulunudurunca bu alanda yapılan çalışamların faydalı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Yapılan çalışma Türkiye’de Büyük Ölçekli İnşaat Firmalarında hangi çevre etkenlerinin etki dereceleri ile hangi kurumsal stratejiyi etkilediğini, ikinci nesil veri analiz tekniği olan Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli ile sadece bir YEM modeli şekli ile ortaya konulmuştur. Çıkan sonuçlara göre teorik model doğrulanmıştır. Çevre etkenlerinin kurumsal stratejilere etkisi daha çok ekonomik ve teknolojik çevre etkenleri ile şekillendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The purpose of this study is presenting the effects of immediate and far environmental factors on businesses, which are an open system, and how businesses are affected and which corporate (executive) strategies they choose after these effects. Environmental factors affect the business as they affect every organization, and with these effects businesses may provide advantage or disadvantage to their values like finance, performance and reputation. Business should classify the environmental factors as threat, opportunity or nuisance, and develop an environmental factor perception. Construction sector is considered as leading sector especially in developing countries. It triggers around 200 related sub-sectors and this reveals the importance of construction sector for the national economy. An international construction sector magazine ENR (Engineering News Record) has published on August 2014 that 42 of the top 250 construction companies in the world are Turkish. As the increasing number of Turkish companies which gain an important place in the international market is considered, the studies are being made in this field are thought as important. The effects and degree of impacts of environmental factors on corporate strategies of large-scale construction firms in Turkey will be presented as a structural equation model, a second-generation analysis technique. The Theoric Model was confirmed according to results obtained. Effect of environmental factors to the corporate strategies were consisted of economic and technologic environmental factors more.
