Finike, Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde yer alan Antalya İli'nin nüfus bakımından sekizinci büyük ilçesidir. İlçenin doğusunda Kumluca, kuzeyinde Elmalı, batısında Kaş ve Kale (Demre), güneyinde Akdeniz vardır.Finike İlçesi, tarımsal üretim bakımından örtü altı sebzeciliği ve turunçgiller bakımından önemli bir merkez durumundadır.İlçede turizm sektörü gelişme halindedir. Antik çağlardan kalma kentleri, yat ile seyahat edenler için elverişli limanı ve doğan güzellikleri, turizm için çok elverişli bir ortam hazırlamaktadır.İlçenin bir diğer özelliği de madenciliğidir. Son yıllarda açılan mermer yatakları ilçeye önemli miktarda girdi sağlamaya başlamıştır.İlçenin arazi yapısı hayli engebeli olduğu için ormancılık ve yaylacılık ilçenin diğer faaliyetleri arasındadır. Sonuç olarak çok yönlü olarak ele alınan ilçe coğrafi yönden analiz edilmiş ve coğrafyanın sebep–sonuç ilişkileri de dikkate alınarak yerleşmeden ekonomiye çok yönlü incelenmiştir. Sektörsel gelişmelere açık olan ilçe bilhassa turizm ve tarım açısından ciddi potansiyel oluşturmaktadır. İlçenin tarımsal ve turistik potansiyeline dikkat çekilmeye çalışılmıştır. Finike lying in the Mediterranean Region is in the eighth largest town of Antalya in terms of the population. Kumluca in the east, Elmalı in the north, Kaş and Kale (Demre) in the west and the Mediterranean Sea in the South Surround the town. Regarding to agricultural production, Finike district is an essential centre in terms of greenhouse vegetable cultivation and citrus fruits.Tourism sector is in development in the district. Its ancient time cities convenient harbor and climate for yachting pave the may for tourism.Another feature of the town is the mining. Marble deposits opened for the process recently have started provide an important income forthe town.As the terrain of the district is rather rough, forestry and transhumance have become the other activities of the town.As a result, the town treated in multı-ways has been analyzed and the sectoral distribution has been studied by considering the cause and effect relationship of geography. The town open to sectoral development has a serious potential-especially from the perspectives of tourism and agriculture.
