"Kriz" kelimesi, ekonomik konjonktürdeki yön değiştirmeyi ifade etmektedir. 1990'lı yıllardan itibaren finansal sistemde ardı ardına pek çok finansal kriz yaşanmaya başlamıştır. Özellikle 1990'lı yılların ikinci yarısından sonra ortaya çıkan krizler bulaşıcı nitelik taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle bu dönemde iktisatçıların bulaşma kavramına ilgisi artmıştır. Bulaşma, herhangi bir şokun ülkeler arasında yayılması, piyasa hassasiyetinde değişim olarak ifade edilebilir. Bu çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Bölüm başlıkları sırasıyla İktisadi Krizler ve Kriz Teorileri, Bulaşma Etkisi, Dünyadaki Bulaşıcı Krizler ve Model ve Uygulama'dır. Türkiye'de cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan bu yana meydana gelen krizler, küresel boyutta etkiye sahip olmayan, daha çok iç piyasaya dönük krizler olması nedeniyle Dünyadaki Bulaşıcı Krizler bölümüne dahil edilmemişlerdir. Model ve Uygulama bölümünde MA(1)-GARCH(1,1)-M yöntemiyle 2008 krizinin bulaşma etkisine ilave olarak, söz konusu volatilitenin kalıcılığı ve şiddeti de analiz edilmiştir. Burada ABD'ye ait her bir finansal ve reel kriz göstergesinin ve bu göstergelere ait volatilitenin, seçilen diğer 24 ülkenin her bir finansal ve reel kriz göstergesi ve bu göstergelere ait volatilite değerleri üzerindeki etkisi ele alınmaktadır. Bu uygulama, aynı zamanda ilave tablo ve grafiklerle desteklenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre Amerikan konut piyasasında ortaya çıkan krizden dünyanın farklı kesiminden pek çok ülkenin etkilendiği, bulaşmanın finansal ve reel kanallar vasıtasıyla gerçekleştiği, fakat meydana gelen bulaşmanın, farklı değişkenler kullanılarak yapılan farklı uygulamalarda da görüldüğü üzere tüm ülkeleri aynı oranda etkilemediği tespit edilmiştir. The word "Crisis" expresses the diversion in the economic conjuncture. From the 1990s, a series of financial crises were experienced in the financial system. The crises, which arose in the second half of the 1990s, can be classified as contagious. Therefore, during this period, there was an increase in the interest shown by economists in the notion of contagion. Contagion can be expressed as the spillover of any shock between countries, and a change in the sensitivity of the market. The study is divided into four sections which examine the following subject in detail; Economic Crises and Crisis Theories, The Effect of Contagion, The Contagious Crises in the World, and The Model and Its Application. Because the crises which have occured in Turkey since the foundation of the Republic have not produced any global consequences, and have mostly been the result of domestic conditions, they have not been included in the section "The Contagious Crises in the World". In the section "The Model and Its Application", in addition to the contagious effect of the 2008 Crisis, the persistency and the hardness of the related volatility are analyzed using the MA(1)-GARCH(1,1)-M method. Here, the effect of each of the financial and real crisis indicators of the USA, and the effect of the volatility of these indicators on each of the financial and real crisis indicators of the other 24 selected countries, and the volatility of these indicators are taken into consideration. The application of this method is also supported by the use of additional tables and graphs. According to the results obtained, it was determined that most countries in different parts of the world were effected by the crisis which arose in the American mortgage market, that the contagion occured because of the financial and trade channels, but the contagion which ocurred did not effect all the countries equally as can be seen from the use of different applications using different variables.
