Bu araştırmanın amacı, ters yüz sınıf modelinin üniversite öğrencilerinin akademik başarısı, ödev/görev stres düzeyi ve öğrenme transferi üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek ve modele ilişkin öğrenci görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma 2015-2016 Güz yarıyılında, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi Bölümünde öğrenim gören 44 öğrenci ile Eğitimde Materyal Tasarımı ve Kullanımı dersi kapsamında 11 haftalık süre boyunca yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada ön-test/son-test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen nicel verileri desteklemek amacıyla nitel verilerden yararlanılmıştır. Deney grubu öğrencileri ile ters yüz sınıf modeli çerçevesinde eğitim yürütülürken kontrol grubunda mevcut öğretim programına dayalı eğitim gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nicel verilerin analizi sürecinde betimsel istatistikler, t-testi, tek yönlü kovaryans analizi (ANCOVA) kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerden elde edilen nitel veriler ise betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda deney grubuna ait akademik başarı testi puanlarının, kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Deney grubuna ait ödev/görev stresi testi puanlarının ise kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı düzeyde düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin öğrenme transferi puanları arasında ise anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler sonucunda öğrencilerinin çoğunun modele ilişkin olumlu görüşlere sahip oldukları görülmüştür. This study aims to determine the effect of flipped classroom model on students' academic achievement, homework/task stress level and their transfer of learning along with identifying student views on this model. Building on this purpose, this research was conducted within the scope of the course Material Design and Use in Education for 11 weeks period with 44 undergraduates attending Computer Education and Instructional Technologies department in the Autumn term in 2015-2016 academic year. Pre-test/post-test quasi-experimental design with control group was applied. The qualitative data were utilized to support the quantitative data. The experimental group was lectured with flipped classroom model whereas the courses were carried out based on the current curriculum in the control group. In the analysis of the quantitative data, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) were used. Qualitative data obtained from semi-structured interviews were analyzed descriptively. At the end of the study, achievement scores of the experimental group were found to be significantly higher than control group. Besides, homework/task stress level scores of experimental group were observed lower compared to the scores of control group. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between experimental group and control group in terms of transfer of learning scores. As a result of interviews conducted with students, most of the students had positive view on the model.
