Bu çalışmada, ortaokul 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin ''Canlılar Dünyasını Gezelim, Tanıyalım'' ünitesinde, yaptıkları çevre projelerinde kazandıkları değerlerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde, Isparta il merkezinde yer alan Kamile Gürkan Ortaokulu'nda öğrenim görmekte olan 5. sınıf öğrencileri üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmada çalışma grubu olan 5-A sınıfı rastgele olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışma grubu 26 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. 8 hafta süren çalışmada proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımı uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada; proje tabanlı öğrenme yönteminin uygulandığı çalışma grubunun kazandığı değerleri belirlemek amacıyla, tek grup ön test ve son test modeli uygulanmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde, aritmetik ortalama, frekans, standart sapma ve t testi ve ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin proje tabanlı öğretime ve projelere ilişkin görüş ve düşüncelerini belirlemek amacıyla "görüşme" tekniğinden faydalanılmış, toplanan nitel verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler, nicel ve nitel araştırma tekniklerine uygun olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen, 19 ifadenin yer aldığı ve Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0,88 bulunan Çevre Tutum Ölçeği (ÇTÖ), 10 ifadenin yer aldığı Değer Gözlem Formu (DGF), 13 ifadenin yer aldığı ve Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0,88 bulunan Kazanılan Değer Ölçeği (KDÖ) ve yarı yapılandırılmış 8 açık uçlu sorudan oluşan Öğrenci Görüşme Formu (ÖGF) araçlarıyla toplanmıştır. Çalışma grubundaki öğrencilerin çevre tutum ölçeği ön teste verdikleri cevapların ortalaması 3,80; standart sapması 0,72 iken çevre tutum ölçeği son teste verdikleri cevapların ortalaması 4,50; standart sapması 0,42 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bulunan bu değere göre ön test - son test arasındaki fark 0,05 düzeyinde (p<0,05) anlamlıdır. Diğer bir deyişle, çalışma grubundaki öğrencilerin proje tabanlı öğretim uygulamalarından sonra, tutumlarının olumlu yönde değiştiği görülmektedir. Proje tabanlı öğrenme süreci sonunda uygulanan ''kazanılan değer ölçeği'' analiz edildiğinde en yüksek ortalamaya sahip olan altı değerin; sorumluluk, işbirliği, özgüven, sabır, saygı ve sosyalleşme olduğu görülmektedir. ''Yaptığım projeler sorumluluk duygumu geliştirdi'' maddesinde öğrencilerin %19,2' si ''tamamen'', %80,8'i ''çok fazla'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,80 olarak hesaplanmıştır. ''Yaptığım projeler işbirliği duygumu geliştirdi'' maddesinde öğrencilerin %84,6'sı ''tamamen'', %11,5 'i ''çok fazla'', %3,8' i ise ''kısmen'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,80 olarak hesaplanmıştır. ''Yaptığım projeler özgüvenimi geliştirdi'' maddesinde öğrencilerin %80,8'i ''tamamen'', %19,2'si ''çok fazla'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,80 olarak hesaplanmıştır.''Yaptığım projeler sabır duygumu geliştirdi'' maddesinde ise öğrencilerin %84,6'sı ''tamamen'', %11,5'i ''çok fazla'', %3,8'i ise ''kısmen'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,80 olarak hesaplanmıştır. ''Yaptığım projeler esnasında çok fazla sosyalleştim'' maddesinde öğrencilerin %69,2' si ''tamamen'', %26,9' u ''çok fazla'', %3,8'i ise ''çok az'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,80 olarak hesaplanmıştır. ''Yaptığım projeler arkadaşlarıma ve çevreme daha saygılı olmayı öğretti'' maddesinde öğrencilerin %84,6 sı ''tamamen'' ve %15,4'ü ''çok fazla'' seçeneğini işaretlemişlerdir. Bu maddenin ortalaması ise 4,84 olarak hesaplanmıştır. ''Ortaokul 5.Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Canlılar Dünyasını Gezelim, Tanıyalım Ünitesinde Yaptıkları Çevre Projelerinde Kazandıkları Değerlerin Tespit Edilmesi'' isimli araştırmada, tüm bulgular analiz edildiğinde şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır; proje tabanlı öğretim etkinliklerinin ve yapılan projelerin sonunda öğrencilerin; sevgi, saygı, hoşgörü, adalet, yardımlaşma, işbirliği, sabır, dürüstlük ve demokrasi gibi temel değerleri kazandıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca betimsel analizler sonucunda çevreye, doğaya ve içindeki canlılara karşı farkındalıklarının arttığı da belirlenmiştir. Proje tabanlı öğrenme yöntemine ilişkin bulgular incelendiğinde; proje tabanlı öğrenme yönteminin süreci somutlaştırdığı, anlamlı ve kalıcı öğrenmeleri sağladığı, öğrenciler üzerinde etkili olduğu ve eğitim sürecini zevkli bir hale getirdiği gözlenmiştir. In this study, it is aimed to determine the values that the 5th grade students of the junior high school have won in the environmental projects they have made in the "Let's explore the world of livings and get to know it" section. The research was carried out on the 5th grade students who are studying at Kamile Gürkan Secondary School located in the city center of Isparta in the second term of 2016-2017 academic year. Study group 5-A, randomly selected. The study group consists of 26 students. A project-based learning approach has been implemented in the study for 8 weeks. In the study; a single group pre-test and post-test model was applied in order to determine the values that the study group using the project-based learning method had. In the analysis of quantitative data, arithmetic mean, frequency, standard deviation and t test and ANOVA were used. In order to determine the opinions and thoughts of the students about the project-based teaching and projects, the "interview" technique was used and the descriptive analysis approach was used in the analysis of the collected qualitative data. In the research, data were gathered with the tools developed by the researcher in accordance with quantitative and qualitative research techniques. These instruments included the Environmental Attitude Scale (ÇTÖ), which was included in 19 statements and had a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.88, The Value Observation Form (DGF), which is included in 10 statements, Scale of Earned Values (KDÖ), which is included in 13 statements and had a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficent of 0,88 and finally the Student Interview Form (ÖGF) which is included in 8 semi-structured questions. The mean of the responses to the environmental attitude scale pre-test of the students in the study group was 3.80, and the standard deviation was 0,72. However, the environmental attitude scale was calculated as the mean of the answers given to the final test as 4.50 and standard deviation 0,42. The difference between pre - test and post - test was significant at 0,05 level (p <0.05). In other words, it is seen that the students in the study group changed their attitudes positively after project-based teaching practices. When analyzing the "value-of-achievement scale" applied at the end of the projectbased learning process, the six values with the highest average are; responsibility, cooperation, self-confidence, patience, sociabilty and respect. 19.2% of the students stated 'completely' and 80.8% '' excessively '' option in the article 'My projects have developed a sense of responsibility' '. The average for this item is 4.80. 84.6% of the students stated that "11.5%" is excessively "and 3.8% of the students have "partially ". The average for this item is 4.80. 80% of the students stated 'completely' and 19.2% '' excessively '' option. In this research, “Determining the Values that the 5th Grade Students Earn In Environmental Projects They Do in the Unit Named “Let's Explore the World of Livings and Get to Know It”, the following results were obtained when all the findings were analyzed: At the end of project-based teaching activities and projects, it has been determined that students gain basic values such as love, respect, tolerance, justice, cooperation, patience, honesty and democracy. It has also been identified that, as a result of descriptive analyzes, awareness of the environment, nature, and life inside is increased. When the findings related to the project based learning method are examined; it is observed that the project based learning method embodies the process, provides meaningful and lasting learning, is effective on the students and makes the education process enjoyable.
