Bu araştırmanın amacı, programlama eğitiminde probleme dayalı öğrenmeye yönelik Arduino etkinliklerinin öğrencilerin programlama dersine yönelik tutumlarında ve problem çözme becerilerinde ne tür değişikliklere neden olduğunu saptamak ve sürece ilişkin öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma 2016-2017 Bahar yarıyılında, Bilgisayar Teknolojileri Bölümünde öğrenim gören 26 öğrenci ile Programlama Dilleri dersi kapsamında 6 haftalık süre boyunca yürütülmüştür. Bu araştırmada eylem araştırması deseni kullanılmıştır. Nicel veriler programlamaya karşı tutum ölçeği ve problem çözme becerileri ölçeği ile elde edilmiştir. Nitel veriler ise görüşme ve gözlem tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Nicel verilerin analizi sürecinde bağımlı örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler ile gözlem verileri ise betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda öğrencilerin programlamaya yönelik tutum ve problem çözme becerileri ön test-son test puanları arasında anlamlı düzeyde yükselme olduğu görülmüştür. Gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler sonucunda öğrencilerin genelinin etkinliklere ilişkin olumlu görüşlere sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, yapılan gözlemler de öğrencilerin programlamaya yönelik olumlu tutumlar geliştirdiğini, problem çözme becerilerinde artış olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. The aim of the research is to investigate the effects of problem-based Arduino activities in programming education on students' attitudes and to determine what kind of changes are occurring in problem-solving skills and to identify student opinions on the process. The research was carried out during the 6-week period of the Programming Language lessons with 26 students who are studying in the Department of Computer Technologies in the Spring Semester 2016-2017. In this research, action research design was used. Quantitative data were obtained by scales of attitude toward programming and problemsolving skills. Qualitative data were obtained through interview and observation techniques. A t-test for dependent samples was used in the analysis of quantitative data. The data obtained from semi-structured interviews and structured observations were analyzed descriptively. At the end of the research, students' attitudes towards programming and problem-solving skills were found to increase significantly between pre-test and post-test scores. As a result of the interviews, it was seen that most of the students had positive opinions about the activities. In addition, observations have shown that students develop positive attitudes toward programming and that there is an increase in problem solving skills.
