"Karlık Dağı'nın Doğal Ortam Koşulları ve Bitki Örtüsü Arasındaki İlişkileri" adlı yüksek lisans tez çalışması 5 bölüm altında incelenmiştir. Birinci bölüm, araştırma alanının genel özellikleri, amaç, kapsam, metot ve tarihsel gelişimi, ikinci bölüm; doğal ortam koşullarını oluşturan, jeoloji, jeomorfoloji, iklim ve toprak özellikleri, üçüncü bölüm, bitki formasyonlarının dağılış sahaları ve özellikleri, dördüncü bölüm, doğal ortam unsurları ve bitki örtüsü arasındaki ilişkiler yorumlanmış ve son bölümde ise bitki örtüsünü şekillendiren tüm doğal ortam koşulları değerlendirilerek sonuçlandırılmıştır. Çalışma alanı, Akdeniz Bölgesi’nde, Burdur İl’i, Bucak İlçe merkezinin güneydoğusunda, 1710 metre yükseltiye sahip olan, Karlık Dağı'dır. Fiziki çevre koşulları (jeoloji, jeomorfoloji, iklim, toprak) özellikleri belirlenip, bitki örtüsü üzerindeki etkileri açıklanmıştır. Doğal ortam koşulları sonucu çeşitlilik gösteren bitki örtüsü, orman (kızılçam, karaçam, ardıç, sedir ve toros göknarı), çalı (maki, garig) ve ot formasyonu olmak üzere üç farklı başlık altında incelenmiştir. Bitki örtüsünün, oluşumuna, şekillenmesine ve dağılışına etki eden doğal ortam koşullarından iklim özellikleri genellikle nemli ve yarı–nemli iklim özellikleri ile Akdeniz ikliminin etkilerini yansıtır. Bu durum kızılçam, ardıç ve maki toplulukları gibi ortama uyum sağlayan bitki türlerinin yetişmesine katkıda bulunur. Sıcaklık değerlerinin yükselti ile değişmesi sonucu, kızılçam gibi sıcaklık isteği fazla olan türün yerine karaçam ormanları sahada yayılış gösterir. Odunsu türlerin yanı sıra çalı (maki, garig) ve ot formasyonları da sahada 1000 metre ila 1400 metre arasında yayılış göstermektedir. Araştırma alanında Akdeniz iklim tipinin görülmesi ile yükseltiye bağlı olarak iklim ve toprak türlerinin değişmesi, kuzeydoğu-güneybatı doğrultusunda uzanan ova, vadi, plato gibi topografik yapıların oluşması; Akdeniz Flora Bölgesini karakterize eden bitki topluluklarının ve alt formasyonlarının oluşmasına, bitki örtüsünün kuzey-güney yönlü dağılışına ve çeşitlenmesine neden olmuştur. Böylece çeşitlenen bitki toplulukları arasında Batı Toroslar Dağ silsilesi içerisinde sınırlı alanda yetişen Toros göknarını ve diğer bitki topluluklarını meydana getirmiştir. Bucak ve Karlık Dağı doğrultusunda belirlenen kesitte 1000, 1250 ve 1500 metre yükselti basamakları arasında yer alan Toros göknar ormanları ve bitki toplulukları, Data Logger cihazları yardımıyla 1 yıl boyunca sıcaklık ve nem parametreleri kayıt altına alınarak, mikro ölçekte incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma, gerekli olan doğal ortam koşullarında, bitki örtüsünün çeşitliliğini, yetişme sürecini, dağılışını dikkate alarak belli bir kesit doğrultusunda ortaya çıkan bitki formasyonlarının ve Toros göknar ormanlarının, doğal ortamdaki yetişme koşullarını ortaya sunmuştur. The study titled " The Relationship Between Karlık Mountain's Natural Environment Conditions and Vegetation Cover" was examined under five chapters. The first part is the general characteristics, purpose, scope, method and historical development of the research area; geology, geomorphology, climate and soil characteristics, third part, distribution areas and features of plant formations, fourth section, natural environment elements and vegetation cover are interpreted and finally all natural environment conditions that shaped vegetation are evaluated. The study area is Karlik Mountain, which is located in the Mediterranean Region, Burdur Province, south east of the Bucak District center, with an elevation of 1710 meters. The physical environmental conditions (geology, geomorphology, climate, soil) are determined and the effects on the vegetation cover are explained. The undergrowth of vegetation has been studied under three different headings: forest (pine, juniper, cedar and taurus fir), shrub (maki, garig) and grass formation. The climatic characteristics of the vegetation cover the natural climate conditions that affect the formation, the formation and the distribution of the vegetation, and they generally reflect the effects of Mediterranean climate with moist and semihumid climatic characteristics. This contributes to the growth of plant-adaptive plant species such as corn, juniper and maquis. The change in temperature with elevation is the result of the spreading of black forest forests, rather than the demand for warmth like a red pine. In addition to the woody species, bushes (maki, garig) and grass formations also spread from 1000 to 1400 meters on the field. The formation of topographic structures such as the change of climatic and soil types due to elevation, the plains, valleys, plateau extending in northeast-southwest direction; The formation of plant communities and subformations that characterize the Mediterranean Flora Region led to the north-south distribution and diversification of the vegetation cover. Thus, among the various plant communities, the Western Taurus Mountains bring forth the Taurus fir and other plant communities growing in the restricted area within the mountain range. Taurus fir forests and plant communities located at 1000, 1250 and 1500 meter altitudes in the vicinity of the Bucak and Karlik Mountains were recorded with temperature and humidity parameters for 1 year by means of Data Logger devices and examined at micro scale. This study revealed the growth conditions in the natural environment of the plant formations and the Taurus fir forests in the direction of a certain cross section taking into consideration the diversity of the vegetation cover, the growing process, distribution in the natural environment conditions required.
