Aile yaşam döngüsü evliliğe hazırlık süreci olan nişanlılık dönemiyle başlayan ve her iki eşin vefatıyla sona eren uzun soluklu bir süreçtir. Bu sürecin başlamasıyla yeni roller üstlenmeye başlayan eşler için her yeni döngü farklı rol ve davranış kalıplarını öğrenmeyi ve uyum sağlamayı gerektirir. Bu anlamda, evliliğin başlangıcıyla birlikte karı-koca rolüne bürünen eşler, çocuğun doğumuyla birlikte anne-baba rolünü, çocuğun okula başlamasıyla eğitimci rolünü, çocuğun ergenlik dönemine ulaşmasıyla psikolog rolünü ve torun sahibi olunca da nine-dede rolünü üstlenirler. Bir döngüde üstlendikleri herhangi bir rolü ölünceye kadar yerine getirirler. Eşlerin döngüler değiştikçe üstlendikleri rolleri ve bu rolleri yerine getirirken takındıkları tutumları etkileyen cinsiyet, din, yaş, meslek, gelir, çocuk sayısı gibi çok fazla faktör vardır. Bu faktörler içinde en önemlilerinden birisi ise bireylerin din algılarıdır. Müntesiplerine bütün yaşamlarını kuşatacak bir dünya görüşü sunan dinlerin en önemli faaliyet alanlarından birisi, şüphesiz ailedir. Bu anlamda, ailenin ve aile üyelerinin din algısı aileyi ve aile içi ilişkileri şekillendirecek bir yapıya sahiptir. Yapılan araştırmalardan elde edilen veriler ülkemizdeki dindarlık oranının oldukça yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca Ġslam dini, bin yılı aşkın bir süredir Müslüman olan Türk milletinin gelenek ve göreneklerini şekillendiren en önemli unsurdur. Bu nedenle, din ile az çok ilgili olan bir Türk ailesinde, bireylerin rollerini Ġslam‟ın etkisi altında kalarak icra etmeleri kaçınılmazdır. Bu bakış açısından hareketle araştırmamızda, aile içinde, özellikle eşlerin tutum ve davranışlarını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada ele alınan konunun irdelenmesine yönelik olarak nicel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi anketi ve aile yaşam döngüsünü oluşturan sekiz ölçekten oluşan bir anket formu hazırlanmış ve bu anket formu Batı Akdeniz Bölgesinde “basit tesadüfi örnekleme” yoluyla 736 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Veriler frekans dağılımı, aritmetik ortalama, faktör analizi, tek ve çift yönlü ANOVA gibi test tekniklerinden yararlanılarak yapılmıştır. The family life cycle is a long-running process that begins with the engagement period, the process of preparation for marriage, and ends with the death of both spouses. For spouses starting to undertake new roles with the beginning of this process, each new cycle requires learning and adapting different roles and behavior patterns. In this sense, the spouses who overtake the role of husband and wife with the beginning of marriage assume the role of mother-father together with the birth of the child, the role of the educator as the child begins to read, the role of psychologist when the child reaches adolescence and the role of grandfather-grandmother when they have grandchild. They perform the role that they assume in any cycle until they die. There are many factors that affect the roles that spouses assume as the cycles change and the attitudes they adopt when performing these roles, such as gender, age, occupation, income, and number of children. One of the most important of these factors is the perception of religion of individuals. One of the most important scope of religion which presents a world view to its followers is undoubtly family life. In this sense, the perception of religion of families and family members have the capacity to shape the family and family relations. The data obtained from the surveys show that the religiousness rate in our country is very high. Moreover, Islam is the most important factor that shapes the traditions and customs of the Turkish nation, who are Muslims over a thousand years. In this sense, it is inevitable for a Turkish family, which is more or less related to religion, to exercise their roles under the influence of Islam. From this point of view, we tried to determine the factors affecting the attitudes and behaviors of the spouses in a family. Quantitative research methods have been used to investigate the subject discussed in the research. As a data collection tool, a questionnaire consisting of a personal information questionnaire and an eight questionnaire formulating the family life cycle was used. The questionnaire was applied to 736 individuals through "simple random sampling" in the Western Mediterranean Region. Data were generated by using test techniques such as frequency distribution, arithmetic mean, factor analysis, one and two way ANOVA.
