Bu çalışmada, başta hikaye ve roman olmak üzere hemen her alanda birçok eseri bulunan Ahmet Mithat Efendi'nin II. Meşrutiyetin ilan edilmesini takip eden günlerde Tercüman-ı Hakikat gazetesinde yazdığı yazılar incelenmiştir. II.Meşrutiyet dönemi Türk tarihinin önemli bir dönemidir. Bu dönem üzerine yüzlerce kitap, binlerce makale kaleme alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, daha çok edebiyatçı kimliğiyle tanınan Ahmet Mithat Efendi'nin II. Meşrutiyetin ilanından sonra Tercüman-ı Hakikat gazetesinde kaleme aldığı yazılar incelenmiş, böylece dönemin bir edebiyatçı gözüyle görülmesi sağlanmak istenmiştir. Ahmet Mithat Efendi II. Meşrutiyetin ilanından sonra hemen her gün farklı konularda yazılar kaleme almıştır. Çalışmamızda 29 Temmuz 1908-17 Eylül 1908 tarihleri arasındaki 44 yazı Osmanlı Türkçesinden günümüz Türkçesine aktarılmış ve yazılar hakkında genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, Ahmet Mithat Efendi'nin bu yazılarda dini, içtimai, ekonomik ve siyasi konulara değinerek topluma fikir verme amacı güttüğü görülmüştür. Çalışmanın II. Meşrutiyet Dönemi ile ilgili yeni çalışmalara küçük bir ışık olmasını temenni ederiz. Anahtar Kelimeler: II. Meşrutiyet, Ahmet Mithat Efendi.
In this study the articles Ahmet Mithat Efendi wrote in Tercüman-ı Hakikat Journal in the following days of the declaration of Second Constitutional Monarchy, who has many works in almost every area, especially story and novel, have been examined. The Second Constitutional Era is an important period of Turkish history. Hundreds of books, thousands of articles were written about this era. In this study, the writings in Tercüman-ı Hakikat Journal of Ahmet Mithat Efendi, who is known mostly by his identity as a literary man, after the declaration of the Second Constitutional Monarchy have been examined, thus making it possible to see the period from the eyes of a literary figure. Ahmet Mithat Efendi wrote in different topics almost every day after the declaration of the Second Constitutional Monarchy. In our work, 44 letters between the dates 29 July 1908-17 September 1908 were transferred from Ottoman Turkish to contemporary Turkish and a general assessment about these writings was made. As a result, it's seen in these writings that Ahmet Mithat Efendi wrote them in order to give an idea to society by referring to religious, social, economic and political issues.
