Çalışmanın amacı Türkiyelilerin, Suriyeli mültecilere yönelik sosyal psikolojik tutumların incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın temel varsayımı Türkiyeli bireylerin cinsiyetleri, gelir düzeyleri, yaşadıkları yerde kendileri ile beraber yaşayan Suriyeli mültecilerin yoğunluğu, Suriye sorununa ilişkin bilgi ve ilgi düzeyleri ile kendilerini ifade ettikleri dini, etnik ve siyasal kimliklerinin, Suriyeli mültecilere yönelik tutumları üzerinde etkili olduğudur. Bu varsayımın test edilebilmesine yönelik, ana kütle olarak Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi öğrencileri seçilmiştir. Bu tercihte etkili olan başlıca faktör üniversitelerin kozmopolit bir yapıya sahip olduğuna ilişkin ön kabuldür. Bilindiği üzere üniversiteler farklı şehir, kültür ve gelir gruplardan gelen öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada alan araştırması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Türkçe geçerlilikleri olan ölçeklerden hazırlanmış anket formu katılımcılar ile yüz yüze uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada ilk olarak göç, mülteci, kalıp yargılar, ayrımcılık etnisite, din, ideoloji gibi kavramlar ele alınmıştır. Devamında sosyal kimlik kuramı, bütünleşmiş tehdit kuramı, gruplar arası tehdidin öncüsü olarak gruplar arası temas, sosyal baskınlık kuramı, sosyal mesafe kuramlarına değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümünde toplumsal farklılaşmalar dini gruplar, etnik ve ideolojik gruplar başlıkları altında ele alınarak uygulama bölümüne geçilmiştir. Kadınların Suriyeli mültecilere yönelik sosyal baskınlık yönelimlerinin baskınlık alt boyut skorları erkeklerden daha düşüktür. Katılımcılardan Suriyeli eşi, akrabası veya dostu olanların Suriyeli eşi, akrabası veya dostu olmayan katılımcılara göre genel tehdit algılarının daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Suriyeli eşi, akrabası veya dostu olanlar olmayanlara nazaran Suriyelilere mültecilere karşı daha az mesafelidirler. Suriye'deki çatışmadan doğrudan etkilenen tanıdıkları olanların Suriyeli mültecilere yönelik algıladıkları genel ve kültürel tehdit ile besledikleri olumsuz duygular çatışmalardan etkilenen akrabaları olmayanlara göre daha fazladır. The aim of the study is to examine the social psychological attitudes of Turkish citizens towards the Syrian refugees. The basic assumption of the study is that, the gender of Turkish citizen, the level of their income, number of Syrian refugees who live in their territories with them, the level of informations of Turkish citizens related with Syrian issue and their religious, ethnic, ideological and politcal identities have effects on their attitudes towards the Syrian refugees. Students of Süleyman Demirel University were selected as the main body for testing this hypothesis. The main factor influencing this preference is the presumption that universities have a cosmopolitan structure. As it is known, universities are consisted of students who come from different cities, have different cultures and incomes. Field survey method was used in the study. The Survey form which prepared from scales that having Turkish validity was applied face to face with participants In this study, primarily, concepts such as immigration, refugees, stereotypes, discrimination ethnicity, religion and ideology were discussed. Afterwards, social identity theory, integrated threat theory, intergroup contact as a threat between groups, social dominance theory, social distance theory have been mentioned. Befor passing to the third chapter which is chapter of implementation, In the second chapter, social differentiations are discussed under the title of religious, ethnic and ideological groups. Women's dominant subscale scores of social dominance orientations towards Syrian refugees are less than men. According to the results, the participants who have Syrian wife, friends or relatives have lower general threat perceptions than the others who don't have any Syrian relatives, friends or Syrian wife. Similarly, the participants who have Syrian wife, friends or relatives are less distant to the refugese than the others who don't have any Syrian relatives, friends or Syrian wife. Among the participants those who have relatives whos directly affected from Syrian conflicts have more negatives emotions towards Syrian refugees than the others who don't have relatives directly affected from Syrian conflicts.
