Konya Anadolu Selçuklularının payitahtı olması nedeniyle imar faaliyetlerinin en yoğun yaşandığı yerlerden biri olmuştur. Bu dönemde pek çok alanda eser verilmiş olup en müstesna örnekler ise cami mimarisinde kendini göstermiştir. 1301 tarihinde yapılan Eşrefoğlu Seyfettin Süleyman Bey Cami dönemin en güzel örneklerinden biridir. Muhteşem taç kapısı, çinilerle kaplı mihrabı ile dikkatleri çeken caminin süslemeleri tez konumuzu oluşturmuştur. Caminin taş, tuğla ve çini ile bezenmiş mimari elemanlarının teknik, malzeme, motif, kompozisyon ve üslûp özellikleri açısından incelenmesi, yapıldığı dönemin üslûp özelliklerinin ortaya konması bakımından gelecek kuşaklara aktarılabilmesi için kaynak oluşturulması amaç edinilmiştir. Araştırmada betimsel yöntem kullanılmış, verilerin toplanması ise fotoğraf, ölçüm ve çizimlerle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda caminin genelinde geometrik kompozisyonların bitkisel kompozisyonlardan daha fazla kullanıldığı, geometrik ve bitkisel süsleme ve bitkisel süsleme ve Arapça yazıların aynı kompozisyon içerisinde beraber kullanıldığı saptanmıştır. Geometrik süslemede yirmi dört kollu yıldızlar, geçmeler; bitkisel süslemede ise kıvrık dallar ve rumiler kullanılmıştır. Taş süslemelerde alçak ve yüksek kabartma teknikleri, tuğla tezyinatta sırlı tuğla ve kakma çiniler, mihrapta ise mozaik çini tekniğinde yapılmış süslemeler yer almaktadır. Beyşehir Eşrefoğlu Seyfettin Süleyman Bey Cami, değerlendirmeler sonucu mimari öğeleri ve süslemeleri bakımından eşsiz bir eser olduğu ve günümüze kadar orijinalliği bozulmadan kalan camiler arasında olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Being the capital city of Anatolian Seljuk Empire, Konya was marked as one of the busiest locations where public works and settlement took place in great extend. This era marked a lot of monuments in plenty areas while the most exceptional ones were constructed in the field of mosque architecture. Eşrefoğlu Seyfettin Süleyman Bey Mosque, built in 1301, is one of the most salient examples of the era. Having grabbed attention through its crown gate and altar place ornamented with tiles, the mosque also own exceptional ornaments that set the scope of this study. This study has the objective of investigating the components of the mosque decorated with stones, bricks and tiles in terms of technique, material, pattern, composition and style as well as the objective of passing the data to next generations as the mosque represents the art style of its era best. The study uses the descriptive methods while the data got gathered through photos, measurements and drawings. It has been found that the geometrical compositions were used more frequently throughout the mosque compared to plantal compositions and that geometrical and plantal ornaments as well as calligraphy in Arabic were used simultaneously in the compositions. Twenty four leg stars and transitions were used in geometrical ornaments while bent branches and rumi patterns were used in plantal ornaments. The stone ornaments hold low and high relief techniques while brick ornaments own glazed bricks and inlay tiles and altar place has ornaments with mosaic tile technique. It has been well understood that Eşrefoğlu Seyfettin Süleyman Bey Mosque is a unique piece of architecture thanks to its architectural components and ornaments and that it is one of the mosques that has preserved its originality up to present time.
