Pisidia Antiokheia da uzun yıllar kazı çalışmaları devam etmiş ve kentin birçok önemli merkezi ortaya çıkarılmıştır. İnanç turizmin en önemli değerlerinden, Antiokheia'nın ilk ve en büyük kilisesi olan St. Paul kilisesi burada yer almaktadır.Romalılar ilk çağın, özellikle de Hellenistik çağın tüm bilgilerini, deneyimlerini süzerek ve bunlara eklemelerde yaparak, adına Roma sanatı dediğimiz yeni bir sanat, kültür ve yaşam tarzı ortaya koymuşlardır. Özellikle Roma çömlekçiliğinin kendine özgü çeşitli yönleri bulunmaktadır.Roma dönemi günlük kullanım seramiklerinin irdelendiği bu çalışma kapsamında, değerlendirilen örneklerin form ayrımlarının yapılmasında kabın boyutları önemli rol oynamıştır. Özellikle tabak, kâse, tas gibi benzer formların ayrımı ağız çapı ve yükseklik esas alınarak yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Kazılarda çıkan formlar dikkatle incelenmiş, kırmızı çamur kullanılarak çömlekçi tornasında formlar şekillendirilmiştir. İlk pişirimi yapılan seramikler, daldırma yöntemiyle şeffaf sır ile sırlanarak elektrikli fırında ikinci kez pişirilmiş ve son halini almıştır.
There have been continued excavations that identified the several significant centers of Pisidia Antiokheia from many years. St. Paul Church, which is one of the most important values of religious tourism, is located in Pisidia Antiokheia as the largest and first Christian Church in the ancient city.The Romans revealed the new art, life and cultural style called as 'Roman Art' by assimilating and developing all the information and experiences of Hellenistic Period. Furthermore, there are unique aspects of Roman pottery.The thesis studies for determining the Roman Period's daily use ceramics. The size of the ceramic containers has a significant role by analyzing the form difference of the examples examined in the thesis. In addition, the differences of plates, cups, and bowls are determined by taking into consideration the diameter of brims and height of the object.After the forms that were derived from the excavations examined carefully, the forms have been shaped on potter's lathe by using red mug. Firstly, the first firing process of the ceramics was completed. Then, the ceramics take their final form after glazing process with the transparent glaze by using dipping method and firing second time in the electric furnace.
