Bu çalışma Türkiye'de Uluslararası Finansal Raporlama Standartları (UFRS) ile bire bir uyumlu olarak oluşturulan Türkiye Muhasebe Standartları/Türkiye Finansal Raporlama Standartları'nın (TMS/TFRS) kabulü ile birlikte tekdüzen muhasebe sisteminden TMS/TFRS'ye geçişin etkileri üzerine odaklanmıştır. Çalışma, TMS/TFRS'nin uygulamaya konulması ile birlikte finansal tablolardan elde edilen finansal raporların kalitesinde artış meydana gelip gelmediğini tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada TMS/TFRS kapsamındaki kazanç yönetimi potansiyeli ve finansal tablo bilgilerinin değer ilgisi düzeyini de incelemektedir. Çalışma sonunda TMS/TFRS'ye geçiş ile kar yönetimi uygulamaları oranında düşüş tespit edilemezken; işletmelerin piyasa değeri ile defter değeri arasındaki değer ilgisinde artış gözlenmiştir. This study investigates the effects of the transition from the uniform accounting system to Turkey Accounting Standards/Turkey Financial Reporting Standards (TAS/TFRS). These standards are established in accordance with the International Financial Reporting System (IFRS) and are recorded verbatim. The study aims to determine whether there is an increase in the quality of the financial reports obtained from the financial statements resulting from the application of TAS / TFRS. The study also examines the potential of earning management and the value relevance of the information obtained from the company's financial statements under the scope of TAS / TFRS. The findings of the study show that the implementation of TAS/TFRS does not reduce the scope for earning management, but leads to more value relevant information between market value and book value of equity.
