Bu araştırma dil edinimi ve dil edinimiyle ilgili nazariyeleri ele almaktadır. Ayrıca dil edinimi kavramını Arap dili ve modern Batı dil araştırmalarından yararlanarak izah etmektedir. Çalışma dil edinimi konusunda üretici dönüşümsel teorinin rolü ve önemi, söz konusu teorinin kuralları ve bunların Arap nahvine uygulanması, bu kuralların yerleşmesinde Chomsky'nin teorisinin katkıları, ayrıca ikinci dil öğrenimi konusunda doğuştan gelen fıtri etkenler ve çevrenin etkileri üzerinde durmaktadır. Tez giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın hedefi aşağıda belirtilen hususları aydınlatmaktır. İlk olarak çalışmamız ana dilin tabiatını ve mahiyetini, dil ve fikir arasındaki ilişkiyi, doğurtan gelen dil kabiliyetiyle ilgili biyolojik delilleri açıklayarak bu delillerin genetik faktörlerle ilişkisini ortaya koymaktadır. İkinci olarak çocuğun ana dil edinimi ve buna ilişkin nazariyeler ele alınmıştır. Üçüncüsü ise dil yeterliliği ile konuşma performansının dil edinimindeki rolü ortaya konulmaktadır. Ayrıca Chomsky'nin üretici dönüşümsel dilbilgisi teorisi üzerinde durarak Arap dili kaynaklarındaki dil edinimi konusuna yakınlığı ve benzerliği incelenmektedir. This study puts a new vision towards understanding the nature of acquiring language . It explains the way of acquiring it in Arabic linguistics approach and the Western linguistics studies. This study is precisely concerned with the role of generative linguistics and its relation with the item of "acquisition", study of the theory of transformational linguistics. It also shows the contribution of Noam Chomsky's ideas or theories in setting up these rules of grammar as well as the Acquisition of a second language. Moreover, it views the instinct factors and the impact of the environment in acquiring the language. This study includes an introduction, three sections and conclusion. It has the most important results which have been reached by the researchers. It also includes a list of references. The first section displays the nature of language and the relations between the language and knowledge. It also deals with showing the evidences of biological structures and capacity of language competence and its relations with the hereditary factor. The second section explains how the child acquires the mother language and the process of perceiving it. It also illustrates; the relations between instinct and the acquisition of the second language, and language acquisition theories. The third section views the role of the Language Competence and Speaking to understand the fundamentals of Chomsky's 'Innateness Hypothesis' and how they affect the Arabic Language acquisition.
