Azınlıkların haklarını savunduklarını söyleyerek devletin içişlerine müdahaleyi meşru gören batılı devletler bu haklarının iyileştirilmesini ve Müslümanlara verilen hakların hepsinin azınlıklara da verilmesi gerektiği hususunda Devlet-i Aliyye-yi Osmaniye üzerinde büyük bir baskı oluşturdu. Devlet-i Aliyye-yi Osmaniye'de bu baskılara dayanamayarak tanzimatı ilan etti. Tanzimat ile birlikte gerek kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarında gerekse bazı uygulama ve yöntemlerde düzenlemeye gidilerek yeni anlayış ve tarzlar benimsendi. Hakların yanı sıra vergilerde de yeni düzenlemeler yapıldı. Bu düzenleme ve kayıtların yegâne kaynağını ise temettuât defterleri oluşturmuştur. Mülk-ü Osmaniye'de ne kadar hane varsa bunların yıllık olarak gelir ve giderleri bu defterlere kaydedilmiştir. Bugün defterlerin ekseriyetinin muhafazası ve müdafaası sebebiyle özelde Anadolu halkı, ataları ve onların yaşadıkları dönem hakkında gerek sosyal ve kültürel gerekse ekonomik anlamda potansiyel olarak müthiş bir kaynağa sahiptir. Bu çalışmada 9580 numaralı Temettuât defteri ışığında 19. yüzyıl ortalarında Hamid Sancağına bağlı olan Ağlasun kazasının sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı ele alınmıştır. Çalışma 5 bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde kazadaki sosyal yapı üzerinde durulmuştur. İkinci bölüme gelindiğinde tarım alanları ve çiftlikler hakkında detaylı bilgiler verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise H.1260–1261 yılında kazada yapılan hayvancılık faaliyetleri üzerinde durulmuş, dördüncü bölümde kazada yapılan tarım, hayvancılık ve mesleklerden kazanılan hasılatlar derin analizlerle anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Son bölümde ise kazada halktan alınan vergi türleri üzerine bilgiler verilerek vergi miktarları detaylı şekillerde anlatılmıştır. Bu çalışma neticesinde Ağlasun Kazası ve çevre köyleri hakkında Temettuât kayıtları incelenerek yeni bilgiler ortaya konulmuştur. The western countries who claim that they support the rights of the minorities, created a lot of pressure on the Ottoman Empire to give the same privileges and rights to the minorities that were given to the muslims. The Ottomans could not resist to these pressures anymore and thus declared reforms. In certain public institutions and organizations, new methods and understandings were adopted according to these reforms. Besides the new regulations of rights, regulations on taxes were also reorganized. The main source to these registries and regulations were the temettuât registers. All of the Ottoman Empire's residences and their annual incomes and expenses were recorded in these registrary. Today, with the protection of most of these registrary, it is a great source to have a look at the cultural, social and even economical situations about the Anatolian people, their ancestors and the period they lived. In this study, I wish to enlighten people to the maximum understanding about the temettuât registers. Under the light of 9580 Temettuât Registers, the economic structure of Ağlasun district which is under the Province Hamid in 19th century will be reviewed. This study consists of five chapters. The 1st chapter subject is about the social structure of the district. The 2nd chapter gives detailed information about the farms and farming areas. In the 3rd chapter, information is given about the stock farming activities between the years 1260-1261 Hecira and in the 4th chapter there is detailed analysis about the district's revenues of farming and stock farming. In the 5th and last chapter, there is a detailed explanation about the different taxes and their quantities. As a result of this study, the temettuât registries of Ağlasun district and the neighboring villages are analysed and new information is revealed.
