Küreselleşmenin etkisiyle dünya genelinde ekonomilerin birbirlerinden etkilenme süreçleri son derece yükselmiştir. Bretton Wood's sisteminin çöküşü ve esnek kur rejimlerinin yaygınlaşması ise bu etkilenmeyi daha da önemli hale getirmiştir. Bu bağlamda esnek kur rejimleriyle birlikte döviz kurlarında dalgalanma ve oynaklıklar yaşanmaya başlamıştır. Bu dalgalanma ve oynaklıklar ise risk ve belirsizlik ortamlarının artmasına neden olarak Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde dış ticaret üzerinde istenmeyen etkiler yaratmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de 1997:01-2018:12 dönemlerinde döviz kuru oynaklığı ve reel döviz kuru ile sektörel dış ticaret (sektörel ihracat, ithalat ve toplam dış ticaret) arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Çalışmada döviz kurlarındaki oynaklığı ölçmeye yönelik olarak hareketli ortalamalara dayanan standart sapma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Analizde kullanılacak olan bütün değişkenler için ADF ve PP birim kök testleri ile serilerin durağanlıkları test edilmiştir. Zivot-Andrews ve Lee-Strazicich birim kök testleri ile ise yapısal kırılmalar test edilmiştir. Yapısal kırılmaların varlığı ile döviz kuru oynaklığı ve reel döviz kuru ile sektörel dış ticaret arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi aylık veriler kullanılarak Toda-Yamamoto nedensellik analiziyle incelenmiştir. Elde edilen ampirik bulgulara göre sektörel ihracat açısından döviz kuru oynaklığı ile imalat sanayi sektörü ve diğer sosyal, toplumsal ve kişisel hizmetler sektörü ihracatı arasında ilişki olduğu; reel döviz kuru ile ise tarım ve ormancılık sektörü ve diğer sosyal, toplumsal ve kişisel hizmetler sektörü ihracatı arasında ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sektörel ithalat açısından ise döviz kuru oynaklığı ile tarım ve ormancılık sektörü ve balıkçılık sektörü ithalatı arasında ilişki olduğu; reel döviz kuru ile ise tarım ve ormancılık sektörü ve elektrik, gaz ve su sektörü ithalatı arasında ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Son olarak sektörel toplam dış ticaret açısından ise hem döviz kuru oynaklığı hem de reel döviz kuru ile tarım ve ormancılık sektörü toplam dış ticareti arasında ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. With the impact of globalization, the processes of influencing economies across the world have increased considerably. The collapse of the Bretton Woods system and the spread of flexible exchange rate regimes have made this influence even more important. In this context, fluctuations and fluctuations in exchange rates started to take place with the flexible exchange rate regimes. These fluctuations and volatility create undesirable effects on foreign trade in developing countries such as Turkey by causing an increase in the risk and uncertainty. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between exchange rate volatility and the real exchange rate (sectoral exports, imports and total trade) and the foreign trade sector in 1997: 01-2018: 12 periods in Turkey. In this study, standard deviation method based on moving averages was used to measure the volatility of exchange rates. For all the variables to be used in the analysis, the ADF and PP unit root tests and the stationarities of the series were tested. Structural fractures were tested with Zivot-Andrews and Lee-Strazicich unit root tests. The short term relationship between the existence of structural breaks and exchange rate volatility and real exchange rate and sectoral foreign trade was analyzed with Toda-Yamamoto causality test using monthly data. According to the empirical findings, there is a relationship between exchange rate volatility and manufacturing industry sector and other social, social and personal services sector exports in terms of sectoral exports; In the real exchange rate, the relationship between agriculture and forestry sector and other social, social and personal services sector has been found. In terms of sectoral imports, there is a relationship between exchange rate volatility and agriculture and forestry sector and fisheries sector imports; In the real exchange rate, it is concluded that there is a relationship between agriculture and forestry sector and electricity, gas and water sector. Lastly, in terms of sectoral total foreign trade, it is concluded that there is a relationship between both exchange rate volatility and real exchange rate and total foreign trade of agriculture and forestry sector.
