Dış ticaret ülkelerin ekonomi literatürünün en önemli kavramlarından biridir. Ülkeler bazı mamulleri ve ürünleri başka ülkelerden almak durumunda kalmaktadır. Bu nedenle ülkeler arasında karşılıklı olarak ortaya çıkan bir bağımlılık oluşmaktadır. Dış ticaretin sebebinin ne olduğunu açıklamak ve ne şekilde olması gerektiğine dair birçok teori sunulmuştur. Bu teorilere göre; ülkenin karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğü olan mallarını ihraç etmesi, üstünlüğü olmayan malları ise ithal etmesi beklenmektedir. 1960'lı yıllara kadar karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğe dayanan dış ticaret teorileri zamanın şartlarına göre değişen dış ticaret yönünü açıklamaya yetmemiştir. Endüstriler arası dış ticaret beklenirken, endüstri içi ticaret ülkeler arasında yoğunlaşmaya başlamıştır. Bilhassa sanayileşmiş ülkelerin ticaret yapısının bu şekilde olması ülkeler arasındaki endüstri içi ticaretin ölçülmesini gerekli kılmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak Balassa endeksi ardından Herbert Grubel ve Peter Lloyd Grubel-Lloyd endeksi tanımlayarak ve ülkeler arasındaki endüstri içi ticareti ölçüp değişen ticaret yönünü açıklamaya çalışmışlardır. Endüstri içi Ticaret (EİT), endüstriyel yapıda rekabetin oluşmasına ve uluslararası anlamda elde edilen kazançların artmasına katkıda bulunduğundan ülke ekonomisi açısından önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu nedenle çalışmanın temel konusu olarak Türkiye ekonomisi için de önemli bir yere sahip olan endüstri içi ticaret seçilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, endüstri içi ticaret teorisini ana hatları ile ele almak ve Türkiye'nin ihracatta en büyük paya sahip olduğu sektörler çerçevesinde ticaret yapısını endüstri içi ticaret teorisine bağlı olarak analiz etmektir.Bu doğrultuda, çalışmada Türkiye'nin 1990-2017 tarihleri arasında gerçekleşen dış ticareti baz alınarak, 2018 dış ticaret raporuna göre ihracattaki ilk 20 ürün grubununun endüstri içi ticaretinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde endüstri içi ticaret ile ilgili teorik bilgi verilmiş, ikinci bölümde EİT'nin ölçme yöntemleri, endeksler ve geçmiş literatür çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise, standart Grubel LLoyd indeksi hesaplanarak 1990-2017 dönemi için Türkiye dış ticareti üzerine ampirik bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Foreign trade is one of the most important concepts in the economic literature of countries. Countries have to buy some manufactured and products from other countries. Therefore, there is a mutual interdependence between countries. Many theories have been presented to explain the cause of foreign trade and how it should be. According to these theories; the country is expected to export goods with comparative advantage, and to import goods with no superiority. Until the 1960s, foreign trade theories based on comparative advantage did not suffice to explain the direction of foreign trade which changed according to the conditions of the time. While foreign trade between industries is expected, intra-industry trade has started to intensify among countries. In particular, the trade structure of industrialized countries made it necessary to measure intra-industrial trade between countries. Accordingly, the Balassa index followed by Herbert Grubel and Peter Lloyd tried to define the Grubel-Lloyd index and measure intra-industrial trade between countries and explain the changing trade direction. Intra-Industry Trade (IIT) has an important place for the economy of the country as it contributes to the formation of competition in the industrial structure and the increase of the gains obtained internationally. Because it has also an important place in Turkey's economy, it has been choosen intra-industry trade on this work. The purpose of this study is to deal with the main lines of intra-trade industry theory and to analyze the trading structure in the framework of Turkey's sectors having the highest proportion of export to the intra-trade industry theory.İn this sense, the study is based on Turkey's exports between 1990-2017 and to put forward the top 20 product groups in exports:according to the 2018 foreign trade report. In the first part of the study theoretical facts are given for intra-trade industry, in the second part the measuring methods of intra-trade industry, indices and the past literature are discussed. In the third part an empirical application has been made on Turkey's exports of 1990-2017 calculated through the standard Grubel-Lloyd index.
