Tez çalışmasının ana amacı farklı su kaynaklarını kullanan su dağıtım sistemlerinde hem mevsimsel hem de noktasal karbon bazlı dezenfeksiyon yan ürünleri (K-DYÜ) ve azot bazlı dezenfeksiyon yan ürünleri (A-DYÜ) türlerinin eş zamanlı tespit edilmesidir. Haloasetonitril (HAN) ve halonitrometan (HNM) gibi A-DYÜ türlerinin yanısıra birçok ülkede yönetmelikler tarafından üst limit getirilen trihalometanlar (THM) ve haloasetik asitler (HAA) dahil olmak üzere toplam 28 dezenfeksiyon yan ürünü (DYÜ) tez çalışması kapsamında incelenmiştir. DYÜ oluşumunu daha iyi tanımlayabilmek için sularda bulunan öncül maddeler ve ilgili diğer su kalite parametreleri de mevsimsel ve noktasal olarak incelenmiştir. Su kalite parametrelerinin tez çalışması için bir diğer önemi su kaynaklarında oluşabilecek en yüksek DYÜ oluşumunu tespit etmek amacıyla yapılan oluşum potansiyeli (OP) testleri için veri temin etmektir. Tüm sonuçlar çoklu lineer regresyon (MLR) çalışmalarında kullanılarak DYÜ ve su kalite parametreleri arasında matematiksel eşitlikler elde edilmesini sağlamıştır. Türkiye'de 28 DYÜ türü ilk kez bu çalışma kapsamında eş zamanlı olarak ölçülmüştür. Tez çalışması bu yönüyle bir ilk olma özelliği taşımaktadır. Çalışmada su kaynakları olarak bir yüzeysel su kaynağı olan Eğirdir Gölü ve doğal su kaynağı olan Karaağaç Doğal Su Kaynağı, su şebekleri olarak da Isparta şebekesi, Konyaaltı şebekesi ve Kumluca şebekesi seçilmiştir. Her bir şebekede farklı su kaynaklarının kullanılması dezenfeksiyon yan ürünü türleşmesinde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Şebekelerde yıl boyunca ölçülen DYÜ öncül maddeleri çözünmüş organik karbon (ÇOK) ve 254 nm ultraviyole (UV) absorbansı, tüm şebekelerde kullanılan dezenfektan ise klordur. Üç bölge arasında en yüksek ÇOK, UV absorbansı ve serbest klor konsantrasyonları Isparta şebekesinde, en düşük konsantrasyonlar ise Kumluca şebekesinde belirlenmiştir. Su kalite sonuçlarına göre en fazla DYÜ oluşumunun Isparta şebekesinde, en az DYÜ oluşumunun ise Kumluca şebekesinde oluşacağı öngörülmüştür. Isparta şebekesi en yüksek THM, HAA, HAN konsantrasyonlarına sahip iken, en düşük DYÜ konsantrasyonları Kumluca şebekesinde ölçülmüştür. Isparta şebekesinde THM ve HAA konsantrasyonları akış doğrultusunda birinci numune alma noktasından beşinci numune alma noktasına doğru 1,5 kat azalırken diğer bölgelerde ve diğer DYÜ türlerinde akış boyunca bir değişim görülmemiştir. Isparta şebekesinde THM ve HAA konsantrasyonları en yüksek değerlere yaz mevsiminde, en düşük konsantrasyonlara ise kış mevsiminde ulaşmıştır. Isparta şebekesi HAN konsantrasyonlarında mevsimsel değişim görülememiştir. Konyaaltı şebekesi THM ve HAA konsantrasyonları en yüksek değerler kış mevsiminde ölçülürken, en düşük THM konsantrasyonu ilkbahar ve yaz mevsiminde, en düşük HAA konsantrasyonu da yaz mevsiminde tespit edilmiştir. Kumluca şebekesinde ise en yüksek THM konsantrasyonu kış mevsiminde, en düşük THM konsantrasyonu ilkbahar ve yaz mevsiminde ölçülmüştür. Kumluca şebekesi HAA konsantrasyonları da en yüksek kış ve ilkbahar mevsimlerinde, en düşük HAA konsantrasyonları ise yaz ve sonbahar mevsimlerinde tespit edilmiştir. HNM konsantrasyonu Isparta, Konyaaltı ve Kumluca şebekelerinde tespit edilemezken, HAN konsantrasyonu da Konyaaltı ve Kumluca şebekelerinde ölçülebilir seviyelerde tespit edilememiştir. Tez çalışmasının en önemli aşamalarından biri de oluşum potansiyeli testleridir. Oluşum potansiyeli testleri kapsamında Eğirdir Gölü ve Karaağaç Doğal Doğal Su Kaynağı'ndan alınan ham su numunelerinde klor, monokloramin, ozon, ozonklor, ozon-monokloramin testleri uygulanmıştır. Eğirdir Gölü'nde en yüksek THM ve HAA oluşumları sırasıyla Cl2> O3-Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-NH2Cl> O3 testlerinde, HAN oluşumu Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-Cl2> O3-NH2Cl> O3, HNM oluşumu ise O3-Cl2> O3-NH2Cl> Cl2> NH2Cl =O3 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Karaağaç Doğal Doğal Su Kaynağı'nda gerçekleştirilen OP testlerinde THM oluşumu sırasıyla Cl2> O3-Cl2> NH2Cl> O3- NH2Cl> O3, HAA oluşumu ise Cl2> O3-Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-NH2Cl> O3 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Karaağaç Doğal Doğal Su Kaynağı'nda oluşum potansiyeli testleri neticesinde HAN OP ve HNM OP ölçülebilir düzeylerde tespit edilememiştir. Tez çalışmasının son aşamasında gerçekleştirilen çoklu regresyon çalışmasında Isparta şebekesi su kalite verileri ve THM, HAA ve HAN verileri kullanılarak geliştirilen modellerde elde edilen R2 değerleri sırasıyla 0,51; 0,55 ve 0,18 olarak belirlenmiştir. Konyaaltı şebekesinde gerçekleştirilen çoklu regresyon modellerinde THM ve HAN modelleri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildir (a<0,05). Konyaaltı şebekesinde gerçekleştirilen HAA model çalışmasında R2 değeri 0,26 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Kumluca şebekesinde geliştirilen model çalışmalarında THM, HAA, HAN tahmin etmek üzere yapılan çalışmalar istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunamamıştır. The main aim of the thesis is to determine both seasonal and spatial DBPs types in different water distribution systems using different water sources. In addition to the N-DBPs types such as HAN and HNM, C-DBPs including THMs and HAAs, which have regulated in many countries, have been examined. In order to better describe the formation of DBPs, the precursors and other relevant water quality parameters in the waters have been examined seasonally and locally. Another key factor of the water quality parameters to the study, to provide datas for FP tests to determine the maximum occurrence of DBPs in water resources. All results were used in MLR model studies to obtain mathematical equations between DYU and water quality parameters. In Turkey, 28 DBPs were measured simultaneously for the first time in this study. The thesis is a first in this respect. Eğirdir Lake as a surface water source and Karaağaç Natural Water Source as a spring water source, Isparta water distrubition system, Konyaaltı water distrubition system, Kumluca water distrubition system is chosen in the study. Each WDS plays an important role in the DBP speciation by using different water sources. TOC and UV absorbance are the main precursors of DBP and chlorine is the disinfectant which is used in all of the WDS. The highest TOC, UV absorbance and free residual chlorine concentrations among the three regions were determined in Isparta WDS and the lowest concentrations were determined in Kumluca WDS. According to the water quality results, it is estimated that the highest DBP formation will occur in Isparta WDS and the lowest DBP formation will occur in Kumluca WDS. Isparta WDS had the highest THM, HAA, HAN concentrations while the lowest DBP concentrations were measured at Kumluca WDS. While THM and HAA concentrations in Isparta WDS decreased 1.5 times along the flow direction, no change was observed along flow in other regions and other DBP species. The highest concentrations of THM and HAA in Isparta WDS were reached highest concentrations in summer and the lowest concentrations in winter. No seasonal changes were observed in the concentrations of HAN in Isparta WDS. The highest THM and HAA concentrations values of Konyaaltı WDS were measured in the winter season, the lowest THM concentration were observed in spring and summer, and the lowest HAA concentration was observed in summer. The highest THM concentration in Kumluca WDS was measured in winter, and the lowest THM concentration was measured in spring and summer. The highest HAA concentrations were determined in winter and spring seasons and the lowest HAA concentrations in summer and autumn seasons. While the HNM concentration can not be detected in Isparta, Konyaaltı and Kumluca WDSs, the HAN concentration could not be determined at measurable levels in Konyaaltı and Kumluca WDSs. One of the most important steps of the thesis work is FP tests. Chlorine, chloramine, ozone, ozone-chlorine, ozone-chloramine tests were applied to raw water samples taken from Eğirdir Lake and Karaağaç Natural Water Source within FP tests. In Eğirdir Lake the highest THM and HAA occurrences in order of Cl2> O3-Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-NH2Cl> O3, HAN occurences in order of Cl2> NH2Cl> O3- Cl2> O3-NH2Cl> O3, HNM occurences in order of O3-Cl2> O3-NH2Cl> Cl2> NH2Cl =O3. In the FP tests carried out in Karaağaç Natural Water Source, THM formation in order of Cl2> O3-Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-NH2Cl> O3, HAA formation in order of Cl2> O3- Cl2> NH2Cl> O3-NH2Cl> O3. It was not detected any N-DBP species at Karaağaç Natural Water Supply as a result of HANFP and HNMFP tests. The last stage of the thesis is MLR. In the MLR study in Isparta WDS models developed using water quality data and THM, HAA and HAN datas and R2 values calculated. The R2 values were determined to be 0.51; 0.55 and 0.18, respectively. The THM and HAN models were not statistically significant in multiple regression models performed in Konyaalti network. The R2 value of the HAA model performed in the Konyaaltı network was 0.26. The statistical data for estimating THM, HAA and HAN in the model studies developed in the Kumluca network were not found statistically significant.
