Gelişen teknoloji spesifik özelliklere sahip tekstil ürünlerine olan talebi arttırmıştır. Klasik iplik, dokuma, örme ve terbiye gibi tekstil teknolojileri bu talebi gerçekleştirmeye yönelik olarak modifiye edilmektedir. Araştırmacılar ve makine üreticileri tekstil ürünlerinin temel performans özellikleri yanında antibakteriyellik, kir iticilik, güç tutuşurluk, iletkenlik, UV koruyuculuk, kendi kendini temizleme gibi çeşitli teknik özelliklerin eldesine yönelik olarak çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Bu araştırmalardan yola çıkarak bu tez çalışmasında, iplik üretimi esnasında fonksiyonellik sağlayan çeşitli malzemelerin klasik iplik eğirme sisteminde kullanılmasına imkan veren bir prosesin geliştirilmesi ve böylece fonksiyonel özellik/özellikler taşıyan ipliklerin üretilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Proses, istenilen fonksiyonel özelliğe uygun polimer, partikül vb. bir malzemenin iplik eğirme işlemi sırasında açık haldeki kesikli elyaf demetine uygulanması ve daha sonra ipliğin bükülerek sarılması esasına dayanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, fonksiyonel özellik olarak iletkenlik fonksiyonu seçilmiştir. İletkenlik sağlayıcı malzeme olarak ise "karbon siyahı" tercih edilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında geliştirilen metodun farklı elyaflardaki çalışma davranışı ile elyaf türü açısından sınırlaması olup olmadığının belirlenmesi amacıyla çeşitli elyaflar (% 100 pamuk, % 70/30 pamuk/PES, % 100 PES, % 100 akrilik, % 100 viskon) kullanılmış ve hazırlanan karbon siyahı dispersiyonunun söz konusu elyaflara uygulanması ile Ne 30/1 ve Ne 16/1 numaralarda iplikler üretilmiştir. Tez çalışması; metodun geliştirilmesi, iletken iplik üretimi ve üretilen iletken ipliğin elektrostatik lif çekim yönteminde toplayıcı olarak kullanılması olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, iletken dispersiyonun eğrilme sırasında uygulanması için ring iplik eğirme makinesi üzerinde uygun pozisyon belirlenmiş, modifikasyon yapılmıştır ve kompozit iplik üretimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. İkinci bölümünde; üretilen iletken iplikler elektrostatik lif çekim yönteminde direkt toplayıcı olarak kullanılmış, farklı özellikler kazandırmak ve böylece farklı kullanım alanları sağlamak amacıyla nano/mikro yapılar ile kaplanmıştır. Son bölümünde ise, ipliklerin numara, büküm, mukavemet, kopma uzaması ve iletkenlik özellikleri, ilgili test metotları ile belirlenmiştir. İki uç yöntemi ile ölçümü yapılan ipliklerin 0.026-1,429 Ω.m özdirenç değerlerine sahip oldukları belirlenmiş ve geliştirilen yöntemin kullanılan malzemeye bağlı olarak iletken özelliğe sahip iplik üretimini sağladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Tez çalışması sonunda, kesikli liflerden fonksiyonel iplik üretimine imkan sağlayan yeni bir metot literatüre kazandırılmıştır. The developing technology has increased the demand for textile products with specific properties. Textile technologies such as classical yarn, weaving, knitting and finishing are modified to fullfil this demand. In addition to the basic performance characteristics of the textile products, researchers and machine manufacturers work on various technical features such as antibacteriality, hidrobicity, flame retardancy, conductivity, UV protection, self-cleaning etc. Based on these researches, in this thesis, it was aimed to develop a process that allows the use of a variety of materials that provide functionality during yarn production in the classical ring spinning system and thus allows the production of yarns with functional properties. The process is based on application of proper materials depending on the desired functional property such as polymer, particle etc. to the opened fibre bundle during the spinning process and then twisting the yarn. In this study, it was focused on the conductivity function. Carbon black was chosen for the conductivity. Various fibres (100% cotton, 70/30% cotton/PES, 100% PES, 100% acrylic, 100% viscose) were used to determine the suitability of the developed method regarding the fibre type and prepared carbon black dispersion was applied to fibres and the yarns having Ne 30/1 and Ne 16/1 yarn counts were produced. This thesis consists of three parts and they are the development of the method, conductive yarn production and usage of the produced conductive yarn as a collector during the electrostatic nano/micro fibre spinning method. In the first part of the study, an appropriate position was determined on the ring spinning machine for the application of the conductive dispersion during the spinning and it was modified for the production of composite yarn. In the second part of the study; conductive yarns produced are used as direct collector in electrostatic fiber drawing method and covered with nano/micro fibers in order to gain different properties and thus to provide different usage areas. Fineness, twist, tenacity, breaking elongation and conductivity of the produced yarns were tested. After the conductivity measurement, specific resistance values of the produced yarns were determined between 0.026-1,429 Ω.m. The results indicated that the developed method is capable to produce the conductive yarns from any types of staple fibres. At the end of the thesis, it was possible to present a method to the literature for the production of the yarns having functional properties during the conventional ring spinning process.
