Konut kavramı, insanlık tarihi boyunca var olan ve barınma ihtiyacı devam ettikçe varlığını sürdürecek çok boyutlu bir konudur. Mimari üretim biçimlerinin başında gelen ve kentlerimizdeki yapı stoğunun en büyük kısmını oluşturan konutlar mekân-kullanıcı ilişkisinin en derin ve mahrem yaşandığı birimdir. Konut; nüfus artışı, göç hareketleri, yaşanan büyük afetler, ekonomik değişiklikler, siyasi olaylar gibi birçok farklı değişkenin etkisinde bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Konut sorununa çözüm üretmek her zaman devletin gündeminde olmuştur. Bu çözümlerin başında da kooperatifçilik ile konut üretimi bulunmaktadır. Büyük şehirlerde daha çok hissedilen bu sorunun doğal sonucu olarak üretilen çözümlerin ilk ve en önemli örneklerine yine büyük şehirlerde rastlanmaktadır. Ancak bu süreç kimi zaman eş zamanlı olarak, kimi zaman ise farklı zamanlarda Anadolu kentlerinde de yaşanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında incelenen Afyonkarahisar kentinin, tarihsel süreç içinde önemli bir yerleşim merkezi olduğu, Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla birlikte ülkemizde imarına önem verilen bir kent olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu anlamda kentin kooperatif konutlarının ortaya çıkışı ve kent düzleminde yer seçimleri kooperatifçilik ilkeleri bağlamında incelenmiştir. Konutu biçimlendiren sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik sebeplerin yanısıra kullanıcının yaşam tarzı, sahip olduğu kültürel ve sosyal ilişkiler bağlamında da konuttaki mekânların tasarımını etkileyen birçok değişken vardır. Dolayısıyla dönem konutlarının incelenmesi, kültürünün anlaşılabilmesinin bir yoludur. Bu amaçla tez kapsamında yöntem olarak Mekân Dizim yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Afyonkarahisar kentinde 1970-2000 yılları arasında yapılmış olan 20 adet konut kooperatif yapısı bu yöntem ile incelenmiş ve belirlenen kriterler doğrultusunda sonuçları ortaya konmuştur.Sonuç olarak, Afyonkarahisar kentinde 1970-2000 yılları arasında yapılmış olan kooperatif konutları üzerinden yürütülen bu çalışma kapsamında ülke genelinde yaşanan konut sorunu ve devamında üretilen çözümler bağlamında benzer sorunlar ve çözümlerin kooperatfçilik yolu ile Afyonkarahisar kentinde de aynı zaman periyotunda olmamakla birlikte benzer biçimde yaşandığı görülmüştür. Kooperatifçilik yoluyla elde edilen konutlara ait mekânsal analiz sonuçları ise toplumda yaşanan değişikliklerin etkisiyle; günlük yaşam ritüelleri, konuk ağırlama anlayışı, mahremiyet olgusu gibi konut planlamasını etkileyen temel parametrelerde değişikliğe yol açmış ve buna bağlı olarak da tip olarak nitelendirilebilinen apartman konutlarında dahi farklı sonuçların elde edilmesini sağlamıştır. The concept of housing has existed throughout the history of humanity and is a multidimensional issue that will continue to exist as the need for housing continues. The most important part of the building stock in our cities, which is one of the architectural production forms, is the unit where the space-user relationship is the deepest and most intimate. Housing; It has become a problem of many different variables such as population growth, migration movements, major disasters, economic changes and political events. The solution to the housing problem has always been on the agenda of the state. At the beginning of these solutions are cooperative housing production.The first and most important examples of the solutions produced as a result of this problem, which is felt more in big cities, are also found in big cities.However, this process was sometimes experienced at the same time or different time period in Anatolian cities.It is known that the city of Afyonkarahisar, which was examined within the scope of the study, is an important settlement center in the historical process, and it is a city which has importance on its zoning in our country with the proclamation of the Republic.For this reason, the emergence of the cooperative houses of the city and the location choices in the city level were examined in the context of the principles of cooperatives.In addition to the social, cultural, economic reasons that shape the housing, there are many variables that affect the design of the residences in the context of the user's lifestyle and cultural and social relations. Therefore, the examination of period houses are constructed in the past is a way of understanding the culture. For this purpose, the method of the thesis was used as the method of space syntax. 20 housing cooperative structures constructed between 1970-2000 in Afyonkarahisar city were examined with this method and their results were determined according to the determined criteria.As a result, similar problems and solutions have been observed in the city of Afyonkarahisar in a similar way in the different period between 1970 and 2000 in the context of the housing problem and solutions produced in the country. The results of the spatial analysis of the houses obtained through cooperatives were affected by the changes in society; it has led to changes in the basic parameters affecting housing planning such as daily life rituals, hospitality hospitality and privacy, and it has resulted in different results even in apartment houses that can be considered as type.
