Bu tez çalışmasında İzmir ili içerisinde bulunan bir otelin ısıtma ve sıcak su ihtiyacında kullanılan fosil tabanlı enerjisinin azaltılması amacıyla güneş duvarlarının sisteme katkısı araştırılmıştır. Binanın mimaride kapalı olan güney cephesine 500 m2 güneş hava kolektörü kurulması için tasarlanan sistemin kuruluş maliyeti 26000 USD olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu fiyat üzerinden devletin sağladığı Enerji Verimliliği Destekleri kapsamında Verimlilik Artırıcı Proje (VAP) desteği ile maliyetin %30'u oranında hibe alınarak toplam maliyet 18200 USD'a düşürülebilmektedir. Otelin tüm yıl için ay, gün ve saatlik enerji ihtiyacı Carrier HAP 5.1. programı ile hesaplanmıştır. Toplam ısınma ve kullanma sıcak su ihtiyacı için binanın yıllık doğalgaz tüketimi 518686 kWh doğalgaz tüketimi 11411 USD olarak hesaplanmıştır. Yıllık 1386 ton/yıl karbon salınımı hesaplanmıştır. Carrier HAP 5.1. programı ile otelin güney cephesine uygulanması tasarlanan güneş hava kolektörünün metrekare başına tüm yıl için saatlik alabileceği güneş radyasyonunun değerleri elde edilmiştir. Kolektör yüzeyine gelen güneş radyasyonundan elde edilebilecek toplam enerji 325163 kWh hesaplanmıştır. Kolektör hava kanalından geçecek akışkanın hacimsel debisi 10000 m3/h olarak seçilmiştir ve bu değere göre kolektör çıkış sıcaklıkları hesaplanmıştır. Tasarlanan güneş hava kolektörü ile karbon salınımı 31 ton/yıl azaltılması hedeflenmektedir. Elde edilen değerlere göre otelde kullanılacak dört farklı iklimlendirme sistemi için yıllık fosil yakıt enerji tasarrufu, ilk yatırım maliyeti geri dönüş süreleri hesaplanmıştır. Kazan ve radyatör ısıtma sistemi için 136744 kWh ve 3008 USD kazanç sağlarken sistem için kurulan pompa ve fanın yıllık gideri 745 USD ve 200 USD bakım gideri ile net kazanç 2063 USD olmakla birlikte yaklaşık 8,8 yıl içerisinde maliyeti geri kazandırmaktadır. Kazan ve döşemeden ısıtma sistemi için 168085 kWh ve 3698 USD kazanç sağlarken sistem için kurulan pompa ve fanın yıllık gideri 942 USD ve 200 USD bakım gideri ile net kazanç 2556 USD olmakla birlikte yaklaşık 7,5 yıl içerisinde maliyeti geri kazandırmaktadır. Su kaynaklı VRF sistemi için 163798 kWh ve 3604 USD kazanç sağlarken sistem için kurulan pompa ve fanın yıllık gideri 233 USD ve 200 USD bakım gideri ile net kazanç 3171 USD olmakla birlikte yaklaşık 5,7 yıl içerisinde maliyeti geri kazandırmaktadır. Tam havalı iklimlendirme sistemi için 116304 kWh ve 2559 USD kazanç sağlarken sistem için kurulan pompa ve fanın yıllık gideri 260 USD ve 200 USD bakım gideri ile net kazanç 2099 USD olmakla birlikte yaklaşık 8,6 yıl içerisinde maliyeti geri kazandırmaktadır.
In this thesis, the contribution of solar walls to reduce the fossil-based energy used in heating and hot water needs of a hotel in Izmir was investigated. Designed to install 500 m2 solar air collector on the south side of the building, the installation cost of the system was calculated as 26000 USD. It is possible to reduce the initial investment cost by 30 % with some special energy support programs of the Government. The amount of energy the hotel needs was calculated for a year in monthly, daily and hourly with Carrier HAP 5.1. program. The annual natural gas consumption of the building is 518686 kWh and the total amount paid for natural gas is calculated as 11411 USD for the total heating and hot water usage needs. 1386 tons/year carbon emissions were calculated. Values of solar radiation that the solar air collector designed for application to the southern façade of the hotel may receive were calculated hourly per square meter per year with the help of Carrier HAP 5.1. program. The total energy that can be obtained from solar radiation coming to the collector surface is calculated as 325163 kWh. The volumetric flow rate of the fluid flowing through the collector air duct was selected as 10000 m3/h and the exit temperatures of the air from the collector were calculated according to this value. The solar air collector is designed to reduce carbon emissions by 31 tons/year. According to the obtained values, annual fossil fuel energy saving, initial investment cost and repayment periods were calculated for four different air conditioning systems to be used in the hotel. The boiler and radiator heating system provides 136744 kWh and 3008 USD, while the annual electricity cost of the pump and fan installed for the system is 745 USD and the annual maintenance cost is 200 USD therefore the net gain is 2063 USD and the system repays itself in about 8.8 years. The boiler and floor heating system provides a gain of 168085 kWh and 3698 USD, while the pump and fan installed for the system annually electricity cost of 942 USD and annually maintenance cost 200 USD and the net gain is 2556 USD and returns its cost in about 7.5 years. The water-borne VRF system provides 163798 kWh and 3604 USD, while the pump and fan installed for the system have an annual cost of 233 USD and a maintenance cost of 200 USD, so the net gain is 3171 USD and repays itself in about 5.7 years. The all-air system provides 116304 kWh and 2559 USD, while the pump and fan installed for the system have an annual cost of 260 USD and a maintenance cost of 200 USD. Therefore, the net gain is 2099 USD and it repays itself in about 8.6 years.
