Bu tez çalışmasında doğrusal vakum tüpleri sınıfında bulunan ilerleyen dalga tüpünün (TWT) çalışma prensipleri bilgisayar simülasyonlarıyla incelenip dizayn edilmiş ilerleyen dalga tüpünün üretimi gerçekleştirildi. Mikrodalga yükselteçleri olarak bilinen ilerleyen dalga tüpleri giriş kısmına uygulanan radyo frekans (RF) sinyalini, belirli sınırlar çerçevesinde güçlendirmektedir. Bunun yanında, helis tipi yavaş dalga yapısına sahip ilerleyen dalga tüpü üzerinde çalışıldı. Elektron demetini oluşturmak için BaO tipi dispenser katot kullanıldı ve katodun çalışma parametreleri belirlendi. Kolektör olarak tek kademeli yapı kullanıldı. Çalışma frekansı değeri olarak C bandına karşılık gelen 4-5 GHz aralığı belirlendi. Çıkış sinyalinin gücünü ölçmek için güç metre kullanıldı. Giriş portuna 15 mW gücünde sinyal uygulandı ve çıkış portundaki sinyal gücü 1 W olarak ölçüldü. In this study, working principles of travelling wave tubes (TWT) in the class of linear electron beam tube are studied. The travelling wave tube model which is simulated with multi-core computer in the laboratory environment is produced. Travelling wave tubes, known as microwave amplifiers, strengthen the radio frequency (RF) signal which is applied to the input section under certain boundaries. Moreover, a travelling wave tube with helical type slow wave structure was studied. A BaO type dispenser cathode was used to form the electron beam and the operating parameters of the cathode were determined. Single stage structure was used as a collector. As a value of operating frequency which corresponds to 4-5 GHz interval was specified. This range is defined as the C band in microwave language. Power meter was used to measure the power of the output signal. 15 mW power signal was implemented in the input port and the power at the output port was measured as 1 W.
