Tekstil endüstrisi sağladığı istihdam imkanları, oluşturduğu katma değer ve yüksek ihracat gelirleri açısından ülkelerin ekonomik kalkınma süreçlerinde lokomotif görev üstlenen sektörlerden biridir. Tekstil endüstrisi çok sayıda alt sektörden meydana gelen heterojen bir yapıya sahiptir. Aynı zamanda karmaşık ve uzun proses zincirlerinden oluşmaktadır. Bu alt sektörlerden bir tanesi olan kumaş terbiye ve boyama/baskı sektöründe yüksek kaynak kullanımları (su, enerji ve kimyasal), emisyonlar, atıksular ve atıksuların taşıdığı kimyasal yükler başlıca çevresel endişeleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu etkiler mevcut en iyi teknikler (MET) olarak tanımlanan uygun temiz üretim teknikleriyle kaynakta önlenebilmekte ya da azaltılabilmektedir. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında baskı dairesi ağırlıklı ve dokuma-örgü kumaş terbiyeboyaması yapılan Zorluteks tekstil işletmesinde yerinde ve detaylı temiz üretim çalışmaları yürütülmüştür. Bu kapsamda, işletmenin temel üretim prosesleri ve yardımcı prosesleri incelenerek kütle-enerji girdi ve çıktılarını gösteren detaylı proses akım şemaları oluşturulmuştur. Temiz üretim etüt/analiz çalışmaları kapsamında spesifik kaynak kullanımı ve çevresel performanslar, temel üretim prosesleri ve yardımcı üretim prosesleri bazında hesaplanmıştır. Spesifik kaynak kullanımları ve emisyonlar literatürdeki benzer tekstil işletmelerinin verileri ve Entegre Kirlilik Önleme ve Kontrolü (IPPC) Tekstil Endüstrisi MET Referans dokümanında (BREF) yer alan veriler ile karşılaştırılarak potansiyel tasarruf/azaltım imkanları değerlendirilmiştir. İşletme geneli ve prosesler özelinde tasarruf/azaltım potansiyellerini hayata geçirmek üzere toplam 229 MET'ten oluşan MET öneri listesi hazırlanmıştır. Bu liste "Tekstil Sektöründe Entegre Kirlilik Önleme ve Kontrolü Tebliği (TSEKÖKT)" ve IPPC Tekstil BREF dokümanlarından yararlanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Ayrıca bu çalışma kapsamında saha çalışmaları ile işletme özelinde yeni/özgün MET önerileri de oluşturulmuştur. Hazırlanan MET öneri listesi teknik personeller, uzmanlar ve tesis yönetimiyle birlikte teknik uygulanabilirlik, potansiyel tasarruf, ekonomiklik, çevresel fayda, yan etkileşimler ve işletme tercihi kriterlerine göre "Çok Ölçütlü Karar Verme Metotları (ÇÖKVM)" ile değerlendirilmiştir ve işletme için nihai MET'ler belirlenmiştir. Bu süreçte "Kriter Ağırlıklandırma Metodu (KAM)", "Ağırlıklandırılmış Toplama Metodu (ATM)" ve "Basit Sıralama Metodu (BSM)" yanı sıra PROMETHEE metodundan da yararlanılmıştır. Sonuçta işletme özelinde toplam 32 nihai MET belirlenmiştir. Bu nihai MET'lerin uygulanmasıyla sağlanacak potansiyel teknik, çevresel ve ekonomik tasarruflar/faydalar değerlendirilmiştir. Bu sayede işletmede su tüketiminde %50-59, elektrik tüketiminde %12, buhar tüketiminde %19- 20, doğalgaz tüketiminde %16-17, yardımcı kimyasal tüketiminde %26 ve boyarmadde tüketiminde %19 oranında tasarruflar sağlanacağı hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca işletmede atıksu oluşumunda %55-64, atıksu kimyasal oksijen ihtiyacı (KOİ) yükünde %27-60, atık gaz emisyonlarında %23 ve katı atık oluşumunda %5-6 oranında potansiyel azalmalar sağlanacağı belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen 32 nihai MET'in her biri için potansiyel geri ödeme süreleri de hesaplanmıştır. Buna göre geri ödeme süreleri 4 ile 60 ay arasında değişmektedir. The textile industry is one of the locomotive sectors in the economic development of the countries in terms of employment opportunities, created value added and significant export incomes. Textile industry has heterogeneous structure consisting of many sub-sectors. It also consists of complex and long process chains. Among these sub-sectors, high resource utilization (water, energy and chemicals), emissions, wastewater and chemical loads carried by wastewater in the fabric finishing and dyeing/printing sector are the main environmental concerns. These impacts can be prevented or reduced at the source by suitable cleaner production techniques, which are described as the best available techniques (BAT). In this thesis, on-site and detailed cleaner production studies were carried out in Zorluteks textile mill employing woven-knit fabric finishing-dyeing and printing. In this context, detailed process flow charts showing the mass-energy inputs and outputs were created by examining the basic production processes and auxiliary processes of the mill. Within the scope of cleaner production studies, specific resource consumption and environmental performances were calculated on the basis of basic and auxiliary production processes. Specific resource consumption and emissions were compared with similar textile mills in the literature and the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) BAT Textile Reference (BREF) document to evaluate potential savings/reduction opportunities. A preliminary BAT list consisting of 229 BAT suggestions was prepared in order to realize savings/reduction potentials throughout the mill. These suggestions were prepared using "Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control in Turkish Textile Sector Communique" and IPPC Textile BREF documents. In this study, new/original BAT suggestions were also generated for the mill. The list of BATs was evaluated with the technical personnel, experts and facility management by employing "Multi Criteria Decision Methods (MCDM)" according to the criteria of technical applicability, potential savings, economic savings, environmental benefit, cross media effects, and facility preference. Thus, final BATs for the studied mill were determined.In this decision process, "Weighting Criteria Method (WCM)", "Weighted Sum Method (WSM)" and "Simple Ranking Method (RMS)" as well as the "The Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE)" method were used. As a result, a total of 32 final BATs was identified for the mill. Potential technical, environmental and economic savings/benefits to be achieved through the implementation of these final BATs were assessed. In this way, it is calculated that 50-59% of water consumption, 12% of electricity consumption, 19-20% of steam consumption, 16-17% of natural gas consumption, 26% of auxiliary chemical consumption, and 19% of dyestuff consumption will be saved in the mill. In addition, potential reductions of 55-64% in wastewater generation, 27-60% in chemical oxygen demand (COD) load, 23% in waste gas emissions, and 5-6% in solid waste generation are determined. Potential pay-back periods for each of the 32 final BATs identified were also calculated. Accordingly, pay-back periods vary between 4 and 60 months.
