Amaç: Çalışmamızda 50 hz elektriksel alanın dişi genital doku üzerine verdiği hasarların gözlemlenmesi ve güçlü bir antioksidan olan AST'nin bu hasarların azaltılması ile ilişkisinin gösterilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Metod: Çalışmamızda, 11-12 aylık, 30 adet dişi Wistar-Albino sıçanlar (350-500 gr) kullanıldı. Herbir grupta 10 adet rat randomize şekilde dağıtılarak 3 grup oluşturuldu. Kontrol grubuna (Grup 1), 30 gün boyunca ad-libitum besleme ve kafes temizliği yapıldı. Ve ayrıca kilolarıyla orantılı olarak günlük 7-9 cc zeytinyağı gavaj yoluyla verildi. Elektriksel alan grubu (Grup 2), günde 23 saat boyunca birbirine paralel plaklar arasında 50 Hz elektrik alana maruz bırakıldı. Kilolarıyla orantılı günlük 7-9 cc zeytinyağı gavaj yoluyla verildi. EA+AST grubu (Grup 3) ise günlük 23 saat süreyle 50 Hz elektriksel alana maruz bırakıldı. Kilolarıyla orantılı günlük 7-9 cc AST gavaj yoluyla verildi.24 saatlik sürede sadece 1 saat kafeslerin günlük temizliği ve hayvanların bakımı için ayrıldı. 30 gün sonunda sıçanlar, dokuların elde edilmesi için sakrifiye edildi. Elde edilen dokular hemotoksilen eozin boyamalarından sonra incelenerek bulgular elde edildi. TAS-TOS tayinleri Erel ve ark. tarafından geliştirilen kolorimetrik yöntemle yapıldı. Hormon analizleri için ise ELİSA yöntemi kullanıldı. Sonuç: Dokuların histopatolojik değerlendirilmesinde EA maruziyetindeki dokularda kaspaz 3 ve 9'un aktive olduğu, oksidatif stres belirteci olan interlökin 1-beta ve IL-6 değerlerinin yükseldiği ancak AST uygulamasının bu hasarları geriye döndürdüğü gözlemlendi. TAS-TOS-OSI değerlerine bakıldığında ise over, endometriyum, tuba dokularında genel olarak anlamlı sonuçlar izlenmedi. Hormonal sonuçlara bakılacak olursa EA'nın GnRH'ı arttırma eğilimi AST tarafından anlamlı olarak suprese edildiği gözlendi. Diğer hormon düzeyleri EA'dan anlamlı etkilenmemesine rağmen EA+AST grubunda azaldığı tespit edildi. Normalde FSH-LH düzeylerinde artış olması menopoz lehine bir olay olup, çalışmamızda bunların oldukça düşük seviyelere inmesi AST'nin over rezervini güçlü koruma etkileri nedeniyle olabilir. Objective: The aim of this study was to observe the damage caused by 50 Hz electrical field on female genital tissue and to show the relationship between AXA, a powerful antioxidant, and the reduction of these damages. Materials and Methods: In this study,11-12 months old, 30 female Wistar-Albino rats (350-500 gr) were used. In each group, 10 rats were randomly distributed and 3 groups were formed. The control group (Group 1) received ad-libitum feeding and cage cleaning for 30 days. In addition, 7-9 cc olive oil was given daily by gavage in proportion to their weight. The electrical field group (Group 2) was exposed to a 50 Hz electrical field between the parallel plates for 23 hours per day. 7-9 cc of olive oil per day in proportion to their weight was given by gavage. EA + AXA group (Group 3) was exposed to 50 Hz electrical field for 23 hours daily. 7-9 cc AXA was given by gavage daily in proportion to their weight. During the 24-hour period, only 1 hour was reserved for daily cleaning of cages and caring for animals. After 30 days, the rats were sacrificed to obtain tissues. The obtained tissues were examined after hemotoxylin eosin staining. TAS-TOS determinations Erel et al. Developed by the colorimetric method. ELISA method was used for hormone analysis. Conclusion: In histopathological evaluation of tissues, caspase 3 and 9 were activated in the tissues exposed to EA, interleukin 1-beta and IL-6 levels, which are oxidative stress markers, were increased, but AXA administration ameliorated these damages. When TAS-TOS-OSI values were examined, no significant results were observed in ovarian, endometrial and tubal tissues. In terms of hormonal results, the tendency of EA to increase GnRH was significantly suppressed by AXA. Although other hormone levels were not significantly affected by EA, it was found to decrease in EA + AXA group. Normally, an increase in FSH-LH levels is in favor of menopause, but in our study, declining of these hormones to very low levels may be due to the strong protective effects of AXA on ovarian reserve.
