Bu çalışmanın ana konusunu, 15. yüzyılın sonu ve 16. yüzyılın başlarında Firdevsî-i Rumî tarafından kaleme alınmış Süleyman-nâme-i Kebîr (39. cilt)adlı eserin çeviri yazılı metni ve incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Eserin tespit edilen iki nüshasından biri Topkapı sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi 1529 numarada kayıtlı olup, diğeri ise Manisa İl Halk Kütüphanesi, Akhisar Zeynelzade Koleksiyonu, 45 Ak Ze 226'de bulunmaktadır. Çalışmada Manisa nüshası esas alınmış, ayrıca Topkapı nüshası da değerlendirilmiştir. Eser, Süleyman Peygamberin menkabevî hayatını anlatan, manzum ve mensur karışık yazılmış didaktik bir eserdir. Çalışmamız üç bölüm şeklinde tertip edilmiştir. Giriş bölümünde kutsal kitaplarda Süleyman Peygamber konusu ve Süleyman-nâme türlerine değinilmiştir. Tezin 1. Bölümünde, hakkında kaynaklarda bilgiler bulunan Firdevsî'nin hayatı ve eserleri hakkında açıklamalar yapılmıştır. 2. Bölüm, Süleyman-nâme-i Kebîr'in 39. cildinin incelenmesine ayrılmış olup, burada eserin genel özelliklerine değinilerek muhtevası ve şekil özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir. 3. The major theme of this work is the translated text and exploration of Suleyman-nama-i Kebir (39th volume) which was written by Firdevsi-i Rumi in the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. One of the two manuscripts that have been found is registered in the Topkapı Palace Museum Library at the number of 1529 and the other one is in the ManisaPublic Library, Akhisar Zeynelzade Collection, 45 AkZe 226. In this study, Manisa copy has taken as basis, on the other hand Topkapi copy has been taken into account as well. The vestige is both didacticand miscellaneously written about the "mankabevi" life of the Prophet Suleyman. Our work is organized in three sections. In the introduction, Prophet Suleyman's the main subject in the holy books and the Suleyman-nama species has been mentioned. In the first part of the thesis, detailed explanations are made about the life and works of Firdevsi according to the subsequent information that lies out in the source. Second part is devoted to the study of the 39th paragraph of Suleyman-nama-i Kebir. Content and form features of the work are evaluated referring to general features of the work.
