Ancak iyi, güzel ve faydalı olan şeylerden çok, kötü, zararlı ve çirkin olan şeylerin Yaratıcı ile ilişkisi ve evrende mevcut olan kötülüğün kaynağı üzerinde düşünülmüş ve farklı yorumlar yapılmıştır. İnsanoğlunun var olmasından itibaren, Tanrı'nın mutlak anlamda iyi, her şeyi bilen ve her şeye kudretiyle hükmeden bir varlık olduğunu savunanlar ile Tanrı'nın varlığı ve âlem üzerindeki etkisi konusunda inkârcı görüşler ileri sürenler arasında âlemde var olan kötülüklerin kime nispet edileceği hususunda tartışmalar gerçekleşmiş ve birbirlerine yönelik itirazlarda bulunmuşlardır. İyi ve kötü meselesi, geniş kapsamlı ve oldukça çetrefilli bir yapıda olduğu için insanların zihnini her dönemde meşgul eden bir konu olmuştur. İslam düşünce sisteminde de bu konuya yer verilmiştir ve bu konuda daha çok savunmacı ve tenzih edici iyimser bir tutum sergilenmiştir. Ancak kimileri kötülüğün gerçek varlığını görmezlikten gelen teslimiyetçi bir tavır takınırken, kimileri ise âlemde asıl olanın hayır ve iyilik olduğunu savunmuş ve mevcut kötülüğün ise az miktarda âlemdeki genel düzeni sağlamak için var olduğunu ileri sürmüştür. Bu konuya teslimiyetçi bir tavırla yaklaşan Fahreddin er-Râzî'ye göre, insanlar için iyi veya kötü olarak nitelenebilecek ve sorumluluk gerektirecek her şeyin yegane yaratıcısı Allah'tır. Râzî'nin bu konudaki görüşleri cebr kapsamına girmemektedir. Yani insan filleri yaratma yönünden Allahın iradesi dâhilinde olup, kulun bu konuda etkin ve özgür bir kudrete sahip olduğunu söylemek mümkün değildir. Râzî, gerçekleşme anında insanda yaratılmış olan, tercih yapabilen bir kudretten dolayı fiilin sorumluluğunun kazanma ve uygulama yönünden insana ait olduğunu söylemiştir. Allah'ın yaratmasında anlamsız hiçbir şey yoktur. Muhakkak ki Allah'ın yarattığı her şeyde bir hikmet vardır. Râzî'ye göre iyi ve kötü olarak nitelenebilecek değerler din var olmadan önce bilinemez, ancak din koyucu olan Allah'ın emir ve yasaklarıyla bir şeyin iyi veya kötü olduğuna hükmedilebilir. The problem of good and evil has been one of the popular issues that have occupied the minds throughout history. However; rather than things that are good, beautiful and beneficial, things that are bad, harmful and ugly have been considered and made different interpretations on the relationship with the Creator and the source of evil that exists in the universe. Since the existence of mankind, there have been discussions between those who advocate that God is an absolute good, omniscient and omnipotent entity and who deny the existence of God and its effect on the realm, and they have objected to each other about to whom the evils that exist in the world can be dealt. The issue of good and bad has been a subject that has kept people's minds busy at all times, as it is a wide-ranging and highly complex structure. In the Islamic thought system this issue is also included. However, it is examined with a more defensive and optimistic attitude. Some have taken a surrendering attitude by ignoring the real existence of evil, while others have argued that the real thing is good and favor, and that the present evil exists to maintain the general order in the world. According to Fahreddin Râzî, who approaches this issue with a surrender attitude, Allah is the only creator of all things that can be described as good or bad and require responsibility. Râzî's views on this issue are not covered by the force. In other words, it is not possible to say that the servant has an effective and free power in this regard, which is within the will of Allah in terms of creating human acts. Razi said that the responsibility of the act of man belongs to man in terms of getting and practising because of a power that is created in man at the moment of realization, which is able to make choices. There is nothing meaningless in Allah's creation. Surely there is wisdom in everything that Allah has created. According to Râzî, the values that can be described as good and bad cannot be known before religion exists, but it can be judged that something is good or bad by Allah's commands and prohibitions.
