Çağımızda ülke ekonomilerinin güçlü olabilmesi, ekonomik kalkınmanın sağlanabilmesi, ülkelerin ve bölgelerin ekonomik faaliyet alanlarında uzmanlaşması, yığılma ekonomileri ile mümkündür. Bu kavramlarla ifade edilen; belirli bir mekânda ekonomik faaliyetlerin toplanmasının getirisi olan maliyetlerdeki azalmadır. Ayrıca sektörel uzmanlaşmanın tespiti ile ülke ekonomilerinin kalkınma plan ve politikalarına yön vermesi kolaylaşır. Bu yüzden ülke ekonomilerinde bölgeler arası gelişmişlik farklarının azaltılmasına yardımcı olmak için yığılma ekonomilerinin tespiti son derece önemlidir. Ekonomik faaliyetlerde ki uzmanlaşmanın tespit edilebilmesi için kullanılan yöntemler ekonomik faaliyet alanına göre değişiklik arz etmektedir. Yani sektörün özelliğine ve mevcut verilere göre anlamlı olan yöntem seçilerek ekonomik faaliyet alanlarında uzmanlaşma tespit edilebilmektedir. Turizm sektörü emek yoğun bir sektör olduğundan ve istihdama katkısı göz önüne alınınca, ülkeye sağladığı katma değer aslında bu sektöre ne kadar değer verilmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'nin gelecek vaat eden ve uygulama olanakları fazla olan turizm sektöründe İBBS'ye göre Düzey 1, Düzey 2 ve Düzey 3 alt bölgelerinin yığılma ekonomilerini tespit etmek, turizm yatırımlarının yönünün belirlenmesinde öngörü sağlamak ve literatüre katkı sağlamaktır. Bu amaca yönelik olarak turizm sektöründe yığılma ekonomilerinin belirlenmesi, diğer bir ifade ile turizm faaliyet alanında uzmanlaşmış bölgelerin tespit edilebilmesi için yerleşme katsayılarının hesaplanması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler tablo ve grafik analizleri ile yorumlanarak Türkiye'nin turizm sektöründe uzmanlaşmış bölgeleri, eşit bir dağılım göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuç bu çalışmanın yapılmasının gerekliliğinin altını çizmiştir. Ayrıca turizm yatırımların ne yönde olması gerektiği konusuna ışık tutmuştur. In our age, to be strong of country's economy, to achieve economic development,and to specialize economic activities, of countries and cities are possible with agglomeration economies. In other words, it is the decrease of the costwhich is the return of collecting economic activities in a particular location. Furthermore, economy it's easier to give direction to development plans and policies with the detection of sectoral specialization of the country's economy. So, it is extremely important to detection of agglomeration economies in the economy to help reducing development disparities between regions of the country.s. The methods used for the detection of specialization in ecnomic activities may vary according to area of economic activity. So, based on the data available and the nature of economic activity by selecting the method to specialise in areas that make sense can be detected. Since the tourism sector is a labor intensive sector and its contribution to employment is taken into consideration, the added value it provides to the country shows how much value this sector should be valued. The aim of this study, Turkey's promising opportunities in the tourism sector for implementation and the opportunities NTUS, level 1, level 2, level 3 sub-regions aglomeration economies to determine. In addition, to provide forecasting and contribute to the literature in setting the direction of tourism sector investment. For this purpose, the determination of tourism sector agglomeration economies; in otherwords, the tourism sector is specialized in the calculation of coefficients method that was used for detection of the settlement zones. Table and graphical analysis of the data obtained is interpereted with Turkey in the tourism sector, it is concluded that specialized region showed anequal distribution. This result has underlined the neccesity of conducting this study. Furtermore, it has shone a spotlight on what should be in the direction of tourism sector investments.
