1983 sonrası ANAP ve DYP Türkiye'de siyasal yelpazenin şekillenmesinde önemli belirleyici siyasal partiler olmuştur. 1983 yılından sonra benzer tabanı temsil eden iki sağ parti olarak DYP ve ANAP'ın iktidar mücadelesi yolunda rekabeti başlamış; ancak 1983 seçimlerine DYP girememiştir. 1987 yılında siyaset yapma yasağı kalkan Süleyman Demirel'in DYP genel başkanı olmasıyla birlikte, rekabet daha belirgin hale gelmiş, siyaset sahnesinde (rekabet halinde) iki büyük yöneten sağ parti yer almıştır. Böylece Türk siyasal hayatında, birbirine bu kadar yakın görünen, aynı kulvarda olan, yakın oylar alan, kendini merkezin sağında konumlandıran iki sağ parti, iki rakip parti görünümü vermiştir. 1990'lı yıllar, yöneten sağın ikiye bölündüğü, birbirleriyle ve alternatif sağ partilerle mücadele halinde oldukları, siyasal istikrarsızlığın ön planda olduğu bu nedenle 12 yılda 11 hükümetin kurulduğu bir dönem olmuştur. 1990'lı yıllarda tek başına yöneten sağ partilerin devamı olan ANAP ve DYP, koalisyonel yöneten sağ partiler haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışma, 1990'lı yıllarda Türkiye'de aynı kulvarda, benzer ideolojide olan, sağ seçmen tabanını paylaşan ANAP ve DYP'yi; ideolojik temelleri ve konumu, örgütsel yapısı, milletvekili kadroları, liderleri, seçmen tabanı, parti belgeleri, söylem ve politikaları gibi değişkenler dikkate alınarak benzerlikleri ve farklılıkları üzerinden karşılaştırmayı amaçlamıştır. 1990'ların başında merkezi eğilimler güçlüyken, 1990'ların sonunda doğru ANAP ve DYP'nin toplam oyunun her seçim azaldığı, hatta 1999 seçimlerinden sonra siyasal yelpazenin parçalanarak siyasette bir merkezin kalmadığı, 2002 seçimlerinde merkezin başka bir forma dönüşerek tekrar bir araya geldiği görülmüştür. Çalışmada, kuruldukları dönemin konjonktürüne bağlı olarak iki siyasal parti arasında bazı farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür. İki partinin ideolojilerinde bazı farklılıklar olduğu, temsil ettikleri sosyal sınıfın farklılaştığı ve farklı bir siyasal coğrafyaya yayıldıkları görülmüştür. Ancak 1990'larda bu farkın kapanmaya başladığını söylemek mümkündür. 1990'larda yöneten sağın bölünmüşlüğünün, düşman kardeşler görünümlerinin, bu uzlaşılmaz tutumdan kaynaklanan siyasal istikrarsızlık ve bunun doğurduğu ekonomik, sosyal ve toplumsal sorunların; iki partinin gerek içsel, gerek karşılıklı gerekse de ülkenin genel yönetimindeki tutumlarla yüksek ilişkili olduğu iddiaları yaygındır. Motherland Party (MP) and True Path Party (TPP) have been important determinants of political parties in shaping the political spectrum in Turkey after 1983. After the year 1983, the two right-wing parties representing a similar base began to compete with the TPP and MP in the struggle for power; however, the TPP failed to enter the 1983 elections. When Süleyman Demirel, whose political ban was abolition, became the leader of TPP in 1987, the competition became more prominent and two big ruling right-wing parties took part in the political scene (in competition). Thus, in the Turkish political life, two right-wing parties, which appear so close to each other, in the same lane, received close votes and positioned themselves to the right of the center, gave the appearance of two rival parties. The 1990s were a period in which the governing right was divided into two, struggling with each other and alternative right-wing parties, and political instability was at the forefront, thus forming 11 governments in 12 years. In the 1990s, MP and TPP, became the Coalitional Ruling Right Parties the continuation of the right-wing ruling parties. The aim of this study, in Turkey in the 1990s, in the same lane, a similar ideology and share of the right electorate, MP and TPP; is to compare the ideological foundations and position, organizational structure, deputy cadres, leaders, voter base, party documents, discourse and policies by considering similarities and differences. While central tendencies were strong in the early 1990s, it was observed that the total vote of the MP and TPP decreased in the late 1990s, and even after the 1999 elections, the political spectrum fell apart and there was no centre in politics, in the 2002 elections, it was seen that the centre came back into another form. In the study, it is seen that there are some differences between the two political parties depending on the conjuncture of the period they were founded. It was observed that there were some differences in the ideologies of the two parties, the social class they represented differed and spread to a different political geography. However, it is possible to say that this difference started to close in the 1990s. The division of the ruling right in the 1990s, the appearance of hostile brothers, the political instability resulting from this irreconcilable attitude and the economic, social and social problems caused by this; it is common to argue that the two parties are highly related to attitudes both internally, reciprocally and in the general administration of the country.
