Hızla artan nüfusun etkisiyle kentler plansız büyümektedir. Yanlış yer seçimleriyle insanların doğadan kopması ve yeşil alanların azalması kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Günümüzde tüm şehirlerde yeşil alanların planlı olmamasından kaynaklı sıkıntılar yaşanmaktadır. Bu yaşananların gelecek kuşaklar için sorun teşkil etmemesi adına bu alanların işlevsel olarak yeterli seviyeye gelmesi için geleceğe yönelik planlamaların daha makul olması gerekmektedir. Yeşil alanlar bir kentin denge unsuru olarak düşünülmelidir. Bu alanlar planlanırken her kentin kendi sosyo-ekonomik koşulları, toplumun istekleri ve gereksinimleri göz ardı edilmemelidir. Bu istekler teknik olanaklarla da harmanlanıp bütüncül bir yaklaşımla yeşil alanlar planlanmalıdır. Kentin yeşil alanlarının kent içindeki dağılımı, büyüklüğü, ulaşılabilirliği, işlevselliği, tasarımı ve donatı açısından yeterli olup olmadığı çok önemlidir. Yeşil alanlar planlanırken bu nitelikler göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. Bu çalışmada Aksaray kentinin yeşil alanlarının daha planlı olması adına bir sistem oluşturulmasına değinilmiştir. Aksaray kentinin yeşil alanlarının kent içindeki dağılımı, büyüklüğü, ulaşılabilirliği, işlevselliği, tasarımı ve donatı açısından yeterli olup olmadığı bu tez kapsamında incelenmiştir. Bu tez kapsamında ilk olarak yeşil alanlar tanımlanarak başlanmıştır. Yeşil alanların önemine vurgu yapılmıştır. Daha sonra bu tezin amacı anlatılmıştır. Yeşil alanların kent içerisindeki yerine değinilmiştir. Yeşil alanların sınıflandırılması ve işlevi gibi konulara yer verilmiştir. Daha sonra materyal ve yöntem kısmına geçilmiş, Aksaray kenti hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Aksaray Belediyesi içerisinde yer alan yeşil alanlar mahallelere göre irdelenmiştir. Her alanın büyüklükleri tespit edilmiştir. Kişi başına kaç m2 yeşil alan düştüğü ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Mahallelere göre ulaşılabilirlikleri çıkartılmıştır. Yeşil alanların dengeli dağılıp dağılmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Aksaray kentinin imar planında öngörülen yeşil alanlarda dikkate alınarak analizler yapılmıştır. Yeşil alanların donatı yönünden ve bitkisel materyal yönünden yeterli olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Son bölümde ise imar planı ile ile mevcut durumların karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Mevcut durumda kişi başına düşen yeşil alan ve imarda öngörülen kişi başına düşen yeşil alan hesaplanarak ne kadarlık bir norm açığı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Böylece tüm veriler değerlendirilerek yeşil alanların daha eşit dağılması, ulaşılabilirliğinin arttırılması, donatı ve bitkisel materyallerinin çeşitlendirilmesi adına bu araştırmanıngöz önünde bulundurularak yeniden sistemli bir planlama yapılmasına karar verilmiştir. Due to the rapidly increasing urban population of building congestion and unplanned developments, wrong location choices have caused the breakdown of urban relations with rural areas and the decrease of green areas in the city. Today, there are problems due to insufficient and unplanned green areas in all cities. In order to ensure that these experiences do not pose a problem for future generations, these areas must be functionally sufficient and must be safe for future developments. Green areas are needed for a long-term balance for various uses of living and surviving phenomenon for outdoor activities in a city's structure. These areas should be examined in a holistic approach by combining today's social and economic conditions, community wishes and requirements with technical opportunities and planning decisions should be carried out based on these views. As a result of the use of green areas for other purposes, houses are deprived from sunlight; dry apperance of stone and concrete piles are formed among the smallest scale to lack of the green areas. Therefore, under the threat of health-hazardous gases, even with industrial organizations planned residential areas, irregular traffic, etc. day by day adds a new ring to the chain of problems. In order for cities to achieve a regular and healthy environment, it will be possible to develop an open and green spaces if the distribution size, functional and aesthetic qualities are within a systematic planning and urban design approach. In this study, it is aimed to propose a Green Field System for Aksaray province. Aksaray city center; urban, urbanization and open-green space systems will be classified by qualification and the potential usage will be examined. In the first part of this study; the importance of green areas, purpose and scope of the study are explained. In the second part of the research, the definition and location of open and green areas in urban open and green space system, classification and functions of open and green areas, comparison of green spaces with local and foreign norms and factors affecting urban open and green spaces are given. In addition, definitions of ecosystem and urban ecosystem are also included. In the third part of the research, necessary information about the materials and methods used are given. In the fourth section, active and inactive green areas within Aksaray Municipality, according to the area size of neighbourhood, amount per person, the distribution to neighborhoods and inventories have been prepared. These inventories were brought together and analyzed by taking into consideration the norms determined by the Ministry of Construction and Settlement on a city basis and the current green area situation in the district was determined. In this section, the active green areas of the district are examined in terms of their accessibility and their urban facilities, and the accessibility of active green areas are recorded on the map. Finally, in the fifth part, Aksaray City Parks are examined in order to obtain information about the herbal material of active green areas. In the fifth and final section, the green area inventory proposed in 2018 in Aksaray 1/1000 Implementation Development Plan has been prepared, the statuses on the plan have been processed and the active green area requirement and norm deficit have been determined in relation to the green areas proposed in the plans and the active green areas owned by the province compared with the norms of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the amount of insufficient active green area of the district was determined. All the data obtained from the research were evaluated and it was determined that the need for green area system in order to reach homogeneous distribution of active green areas, increasing the accessibility, reaching more users and a need for green space system to meet urban norms, "Aksaray District Green Area System Plan" preparation was recommended, what should be considered when preparing this plan was mentioned in the paragraphs, the system recommendations are presented.
