Grafen oksidin (GO) çözücülerde kolaylıkla dispers olması, dielektrik özelliği, şeffaflığı, elektronik özelliklerinin ayarlanabilir olması ve üstün mekanik özellikleri sebebiyle kullanım alanları gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Hidrofilik özellikli GO'da sp2 bağlarının bozulması sebebiyle elektriksel iletkenlik açısından yalıtkan hale gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada, polyester kumaşların elektrik iletkenliği ve UV-koruma özellikleri Geliştirilmiş Hummers yöntemi ile sentezlenen GO esaslı nanofilmlerin çok tabakalı kaplama yöntemi ile oluşturulması ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın ilk aşaması olarak grafitten GO üretimi sağlanılmıştır. Üretim aşamasında toksik özellik gösteren sodyum nitrat (NaNO3) kullanılmamış ve bu sayede işlemin çevre dostu bir üretim olması sağlanmıştır. İkinci aşamada sentezlenen GO'nun çok tabakalı kaplama yöntemi ile polyester kumaşlara aktarımı sağlanmıştır. Anyonik yapıdaki polyester kumaşlar için ilk tabaka olarak katyonik özellik gösteren Poli(dialilamonyum klorür) (PDDA) seçilmiş ve kaplamada katyonik tabakalarda kullanılmıştır. Farklı kaplama sayıları ve daldırma süreleri ile çok tabakalı kaplama yöntemine göre kaplanan kumaşlarda beyaz renkten açık-kahve tonlarında renk değişimi gözlenmiştir. GO kaplanan kumaşların Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu (SEM) analizlerinde polyester kumaş yüzeyinde GO'nun ince bir film tabakasının oluşturduğu gözlenmiş ve kaplama işleminin başarılı olduğu saptanmıştır. GO kaplanan kumaşların ayrıca kimyasal yapısı Fourier Dönüşüm Infrared (FTIR) spektroskopisi ile incelenmiştir. GO esaslı nanokompozit polyester kumaşların elde edilmesinden sonra indirgenmiş grafen oksit (rGO) yapı elde etmek amacıyla farklı kimyasal ajanlar seçilmiş ve seçilen ajanlar ile kimyasal indirgeme yapılmıştır. İndirgeyici ajanlar sodyum ditiyonit (Na2S2O4) ve sodyum borohidrit (NaBH4) GO'nun indirgenmesi amacıyla yapılan çalışmalarında başarılı olunmuş ajanlar olup tez aşamasında GO kaplanan polyester kumaşların indirgenmesi için seçilmiştir. Yapılan EDS analizlerinde indirgenmiş kumaşların yüzeyinde GO kaplanan kumaşlara oranla karbon (C) miktarında artış ve oksijen (O) miktarında azalma gözlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda yapılan FT-IR ve SEM analizleri incelenmiş olup indirgeme işleminin başarılı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tezin en önemli amacı olan polyester kumaşa iletkenlik özelliği indirgeme işleminden sonra 2 ve 4 prob ölçüm metodu ile test edilmiş ve kumaşların iletkenliği arttırılmıştır. Çalışmamızın sonunda yapılan tüm analizlerde istenilen özelliklerin kazandırıldığı ve çok tabakalı kaplama yönteminin GO'in polyester kumaşa aktarılması için uygun bir proses olduğu ayrıca GO'nun indirgenmesi için belirlenen ajanların başarılı sonuçlar verdiği bulunmuştur. Graphene oxide (GO) is easily dispersed in solvents, dielectric property, transparency, electronic features can be adjusted due to the superior mechanical properties and areas of use are expanding day by day. On the other hand, due to the deterioration of sp2 bonds in the hydrophilic GO, it becomes insulating in terms of electrical conductivity. In this study, the electrical conductivity and UV-protection properties of polyester fabrics were obtained by the use of modified Hummers based graphene oxide (GO) based nanofilms with multilayer coating method. Graphene oxide production was provided as graphite oxide. NaNO3, which exhibits toxic properties during the production phase, was not used and thus the process was ensured to be environmentally friendly production In the second step, polythene (diammonium chloride) (PDDA) which has cationic properties was selected as the first layer for polyester fabrics with anionic structure and was included in the coating process. Color changes from white to light-brown tones were observed in the fabrics coated according to the multilayer coating method with different coating numbers and durations. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis of graphene oxide (GO) coated fabrics showed a thin film layer of graphene oxide on polyester fabric surface and coating process was found to be successful. The chemical structure of graphene oxide coated fabrics was also observed by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. After obtaining GO based nanocomposite polyester fabrics, different chemical agents were selected to obtain RGO structure and chemical reduction was performed with selected agents. Reducing agents sodium dithionite (Na2S2O4) and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) have been successful in their studies for the reduction of graphene oxide and were chosen for reduction of graphene oxide coated polyester fabrics in the thesis stage. In the EDS analysis, carbon (C) amount and oxygen (O) amount were decreased on the surface of reduced fabrics compared to GO coated fabrics. At the same time, FT-IR and SEM analyzes were examined and the reduction process was observed to be successful. The most important aim of the thesis is to provide conductivity to polyester fabric after reduction process and conductivity measurement is provided by 2 and 4 probe measurement method and conductivity of fabrics is increased. At the end of our study, it was presented that the processes were successful and that the multilayer coating method was a suitable process for transferring graphene oxide to polyester fabric and the agents determined for the reduction of graphene oxide gave successful results.
