Yeryüzündeki bilgiye ulaşmanın kolaylığı, teknolojik gelişmelerin artması, hayat standartlarının iyileşmesi ile birlikte tüketicilerin talep ve beklentileri her alanda artmaktadır. Tüketicilerin talep ve beklentilerine paralel olarak tekstil endüstrisinde, yağ, kir ve su iticilik, alev geciktirici, solmaya karşı direnç, antibakteriyel özellik gibi fonksiyonel ürünlerin üretimi oldukça artmıştır. Yaşamımızı ve hayat standartlarımızı tehdit eden, bulaşıcı hastalıklara neden olan bakterilere karşı engelleyici rol oynayan antibakteriyel tekstil materyallerine ilgi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Fakat antibakteriyellik özellik asırlardan beri gümüş, çinko gibi ağır metallerle sağlanmaktadır. Bu ağır metaller çevreye zarar verirken, vücuda temas eden materyallerde insan sağlığını açısından tehdit oluşturabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada çevre dostu ve doğal üzüm bitkisinin çekirdeklerinden yüksek antibakteriyellik özelliğe sahip olan fenolik bileşiklerin elde edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu sayede şarap üretimi, pekmez üretimi gibi alanlarda üzümün işlenmesi sırasında atık madde olarak açığa çıkan üzüm çekirdeğinin çevre kirliğine neden olması önlenebilecektir. Aynı zamanda insan ve çevre sağlığı açısından güvenli yollarla üretilmiş antibakteriyel tekstil materyalleri elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışma iki bölüm halinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Birinci bölümde fenolik bileşikler elde edilmiştir. Biyoaktif bileşenler bakımından oldukça zengin olan üzüm çekirdekleri toz haline getirilerek ekstraksiyon işlemine tabi tutulmuştur. Üzüm tozunun öncelikle petrol etheri ile yağı uzaklaştırılmıştır. Daha sonra fenolik bileşik eldesi için metanol ve etanol olmak üzere iki farklı çözücü ile ekstraksiyon işlemi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen ekstraktlara HPLC analizi yapılarak hangi çözücünün daha verimli sonuçlar verdiği analiz edilmiştir. Testler sonucunda metanol kimyasalının verimi yüksek olduğu için çalışmalara metanol ile edilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise elde edilen fenolik bileşikler %100 pamuklu dokuma kumaşa emdirme kurutma-fikse tekniği ile aplike edilmiştir. Bu amaçla A, B ve C olmak üzere 3 farklı reçete hazırlanmıştır. A ve B reçetelerinde %50 ve %25 konsatrasyonlarda flotteler hazırlanarak, farklı konsantrasyonların kumaş üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. C reçetesinde ise flotteye çapraz bağlayıcı eklenerek bitim maddesinin kumaşa bağlanması araştırılmıştır. Uygulama yapılan kumaşların yıkama dayanımlarını test etmek için kumaşlar 1-5-10 tekrarlı yıkamalara tabi tutulmuştur. Kumaşlardaki moleküler değişimlerin belirlenmesi için FTIR analizleri, yüzeylerdeki morfolojik değişimleri belirlemek için SEM analizleri yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda uygulama yapılan tüm kumaşlarda bitim maddesinin mevcut olduğu tespit edilmiştir. 10 yıkama sonunda C reçetesi ile işlem gören kumaşlardaki bitim maddesinin uzaklaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Antibakteriyel testler sonucunda uygulama yapılan tüm kumaşlarda antibakteriyellik özelliği tespit edilmiştir. A ve B reçeteleri ile işlem gören kumaşların yıkamalar ile antibakteriyellik özelliği azalmıştır. Fakat C reçetesinin 10 yıkamadan sonra dahi yüksek düzeyde antibakteriyel etkinlik tespit edilmiştir. Kumaşlara yapılan kopma mukavemet ve kopma uzama test sonuçları incelendiğinde; mukavemetlerde düşüşlerin olduğu belirlenirken kopma uzamalarında artışlar olmuştur. Bu değişimler kabul edilebilir değerler arasındadır. Kumaşlara uygulanan renk değişim testleri sonucunda ise kumaşların kırmızı tona kaydığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda çevre dostu ve doğal üzüm çekirdeğinden elde edilen fenolik bileşikler ile pamuklu kumaşlara antibakteriyellik özellik kazandırılmıştır. The demands and expectations of consumers increase in every field with the ease of access to information on the earth, the increase in technological developments, the improvement of living standards. In line with the demands and expectations of consumers, the production of functional products such as oil, dirt and water repellency, flame retardant, fade resistance, and antibacterial properties have increased considerably. The interest in antibacterial textile materials, which threatens our lives and living standards and plays a preventive role against bacteria that cause infectious diseases, is increasing day by day. But antibacterial properties have been provided with heavy metals such as silver and zinc for centuries. While these heavy metals harm the environment, they can pose a threat to human health in materials that come into contact with the body. In this study, it was aimed to obtain phenolic compounds that have high antibacterial properties from the seeds of environmentally friendly and natural grape plants. In this way, it can be prevented that the grape seed, which is released as waste material during the processing of grapes in areas such as wine production and molasses production, causes environmental pollution. At the same time, antibacterial textile materials produced in safe ways for human and environmental health were obtained. This study was carried out in two parts. In the first part, phenolic compounds were obtained. Grape seeds, which are very rich in bioactive components, were powdered and extracted. The grape powder was firstly degreased with petroleum ethers. Then, extraction was done with two different solvents, methanol and ethanol, to obtain phenolic compound. HPLC analysis was carried out on the extracts obtained to analyze which solvent yielded more efficient results. As a result of the tests, the efficiency of the methanol chemical was high, and the studies were carried out with methanol. In the second part, the obtained phenolic compounds were applied to the 100% cotton woven fabric by impregnation, drying-fixing technique. For this purpose, 3 different prescriptions, A, B and C were prepared. In A and B recipes, 50% and 25% concentrations were prepared, and the effects of different concentrations on the fabric were investigated. In the C recipe, the binding of the finishing agent to the fabric was investigated by adding crosslinker to the float. The fabrics were subjected to 1-5-10 repeated washes to test the washing strength of the applied fabrics. FTIR analyzes were performed to determine the molecular changes in fabrics, and SEM analyzes were performed to determine the morphological changes on the surfaces. As a result of the analyzes, it is determined that the finishing agent is present in all fabrics. At the end of 10 washes, it was determined that the finishing agent did not disappear in the fabrics treated with C prescription. As a result of antibacterial tests, antibacterial properties have been determined in all fabrics applied. The antibacterial properties of the fabrics treated with A and B recipes have decreased with the washes. However, a high level of antibacterial efficacy was detected even after 10 washes of C prescription. When the breaking strength and breaking elongation test results on fabrics are examined; While determining that there were decreases in strengths, there were increases in rupture elongations. These changes are among acceptable values. As a result of the color change tests applied to the fabrics, it was determined that the fabrics shifted to red tone. As a result of the study, cotton fabrics have been given antibacterial properties with the phenolic compounds obtained from environmentally friendly and natural grape seeds.
