İletken tekstiller belirli seviyede elektriksel iletkenlik özelliğine sahip tekstil yapılarına verilen isimdir. İletken tekstiller, sağlık, askeri, uzay gibi çeşitli alanlarda geniş bir kullanım alanına sahiptir. Günümüzde rijit haldeki elektronik özelliklere sahip materyaller yerine esnek, yıkanabilir, eğilip-bükülebilen yapıya sahip olan tekstil yapılarının geliştirilmesiyle birlikte, bu alana olan talep artmaya başlamıştır. Bu nedenle, günümüzde tekstil materyallerine iletkenlik özelliğinin kazandırılması amacıyla çeşitli yöntemler ve malzemeler kullanılmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında da, iplik ve kumaş formundaki tekstil yapılarına çeşitli iletken malzemeler kullanılarak iletkenlik özelliğinin kazandırılması ve elde edilen yapıların iletkenlik yanında esneklik, yıkanabilirlik, nefes alabilirlik ve mukavemet gibi çeşitli özelliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tez çalışmasında, kumaş ve iplik formu olmak üzere iki farklı tekstil yapısına iki farklı iletken malzeme ile aplikasyon gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, son yıllarda üstün mekanik, termal, kimyasal, optik özellikleriyle öne çıkmış olan grafenin kullanımına odaklanılmıştır. Literatürdeki mevcut çalışmalardan farklı olarak, tek adımlı bir proses ile sentezlenmiş ve endüstriyel kullanıma uygun indirgenmiş grafen oksit (rGO) ile uygulamalar gerçekleştirilmiştir. İndirgenmiş grafen oksite (rGO) ilave olarak, iletken malzemeler içerisinde yer alan polianilin (PANI) polimeri de kullanılmıştır. Kumaş aplikasyonlarında, tekstil terbiye proseslerinde yaygın kullanıma sahip olan emdirme ve çektirme metotları esas alınmıştır. Emdirme ve çektirme metodu ile yapılan uygulamalarda rGO nanosüspansiyonları pamuk/polyester dokuma kumaş numunelerine çeşitli tekrar sayılarında veya bekletme sürelerinde aplike edilmiş ve aplikasyon sayısı ve bekletme süresinin iletkenliğe etkisi belirlenmiştir. Numune kumaşların yıkanabilirlik özelliğini belirlemek amacıyla, 40°C ve 60°C sıcaklık değerlerinde 30 dakika deterjanlı ortamda 1 ile 10 arasında değişen sürelerde yıkama işlemi yapılmıştır. Tekstil ürünlerinin kullanımları sırasında ortaya çıkan sürtünme etkisine karşı numune kumaşların iletkenlik özelliğindeki değişimi belirlemek amacıyla 500 ve 2000 tekrar sayılarında sürtme işlemi yapılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, tekrarlı yapılan eğme/bükme ve geri düzelme hareketleri sonrasında elektriksel stabiliteyi değerlendirmek amacıyla iletken tekstil kumaşları çeşitli yönlerde deforme edilmiştir. Ayrıca, numune kumaşlar %20 oranına 5 defa uzatılmıştır. Yıkama, sürtme ve eğme-bükme testleri sonrasında kumaşların elektriksel iletkenlik özellikleri analiz edilmiş ve iletkenlik elde edilen direnç değerleri ile ifade edilmiştir. Direnç değerlerinin belirlenmesinde ağırlıklı olarak iki uçlu ölçüm yöntemi kullanılmış olmakla birlikte, seçilmiş numunelerde dört uçlu ölçüm yöntemi ile de analiz yapılmıştır. Tez çalışmasında, kumaş aplikasyon metodu açısından emdirme yönteminin, iletken malzeme açısından tek adımlı bir proses ile sentezlenen indirgenmiş grafen oksit (rGO)'in 100 kΩ'un altında direnç değerlerine sahip yıkama, sürtme, eğme-bükme gibi etkiler sonrasında iletkenlik özelliğini taşıyan ve elektriksel olarak stabil bir tekstil yapısının elde edilmesini sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, rGO içerikli kumaşlar kullanılarak LED ampul barındıran basit bir aydınlanma düzeneği hazırlanmış ve 10 yıkamalı kumaşların bile ampulü aydınlatabildiği gözlenmiştir. rGO aplikasyonun kumaşların mekanik özelliklerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla kumaş yırtılma ve kopma mukavemetleri ile kopma uzaması özellikleri test edilmiş ve mekanik özellikler açısından rGO uygulamasının önemli bir etkisinin olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bugün ideal bir iletken tekstilden, iletkenlik yanında esnek, eğilebilir, bükülebilir, yıkanabilir olma yanında nefes alabilirlik özelliğini taşıması beklenmektedir. Bu nedenle tez çalışmasında, kumaş konforu ile de ilişkili özelliklerinden biri olan hava geçirgenliği ve eğilme rijitliği özellikleri incelenmiş ve rGO aplikasyonu sonrasında referans kumaşlara kıyasla hava geçirgenliği değerlerinde azalma meydana geldiği, ancak 1 yıkama sonrasında kumaşların hava geçirgenliği değerlerinin iyileştiği belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, rGO içerikli kumaşların referans kumaşlar gibi eğilip-bükülebildiği gözlenmiştir. Tez çalışmasının ikinci kısmında, klasik ring iplik eğirme prosesi esnasında henüz iplik formuna dönüşmemiş elyaf demetlerine iletken malzeme içerikli çözeltilerin beslenmesine esasına dayanan alternatif metot kullanılmış ve Ne 16/1 numara triko bükümüne sahip iplikler üretilmiştir. Ağırlıklı olarak rGO içerikli nanosüspansiyonlar ile yapılan iplik üretimlerinde, farklı lif türü ve nanosüspansiyon besleme miktarlarının etkisi incelenmiş ve uygun lif türü ve optimum besleme miktarına karar verilmiştir. Elde edilen iletken özellikli ipliklerin, endüstriyel proseslere uygun olup olmadığının tespit edilebilmesi amacıyla iplikler yoğun olarak iplik-metal sürtünmesinin meydana geldiği bobinleme ve örme işlemlerinden geçirilmiş ve belirli derecede iletkenliğe sahip olan ipliklerin, sürtünme ve mekanik zorlanmalar sonrasında bile iletkenlik özelliğini hala koruduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kumaşların yıkama sonrası iletkenlik özelliklerini değerlendirmek amacıyla örme kumaşlar, 40°C'de 30 dakika süreyle deterjanlı ortamda yıkanmış ve dört uçlu yöntemi ile direnç değerleri ölçülmüştür. Yıkama öncesi 1,64 kΩ olan direnç değerinin 1 yıkama sonrasında 7,66 kΩ'a çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Alternatif metot ile elde edilen ipliklerin gerilme özellikleri incelenmiş ve iletken ipliklerin rGO içermeyen referans ipliklerle karşılaştırılabilir düzeyde iplik mukavemeti ve kopma uzaması değerlerine sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. rGO içerikli ipliklerden elde edilen örme kumaşların nefes alabilirlik özelliğini değerlendirmek amacıyla, hava geçirgenliği özelliği test edilmiş ve iletken ipliklere ait kumaşların referans ipliklere ait kumaşlardan daha yüksek değerlere sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tez çalışması kapsamında emdirme ve alternatif aplikasyon yöntemi ile elde edilen iletken özellikli tekstil yapılarının; antistatik tekstil yapılarında, elektromanyetik kalkanma amaçlı uygulamalarında, gerilme sensörleri gibi katma değeri yüksek tekstil ürünlerinde kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir. Öte yandan, tekstil bitim işlemlerinde yaygın olarak kullanılan emdirme, çektirme yöntemlerinin aksine kullanılmayan bir çözeltinin atılmasını gerektirmeyen, daha az su kullanımı ve atık su oluşumuna imkân sağlayan alternatif metod ile iletkenlik başta olmak üzere çeşitli fonksiyonel özelliklere sahip teknik iplik ve kumaşlar, daha çevreci bir yaklaşımla üretilebilecektir. Bununla birlikte, açık elyaf demetine aplikasyon esasına dayanan alternatif metot ile tekstil materyallerinin kendilerine has hafif, esnek, eğilip-bükülebilen, geçirgen ve nefes alabilir yapıları korunarak daha konforlu teknik ürünleri de elde edilebilecektir. Conductive textiles are textile structures with a certain level of electrical conductivity. Conductive textiles have a wide range of uses in various fields such as health, military, space etc. Today, the demand for this area has started to increase with the development of flexible, washable, bendable textile structures instead of materials with rigid electronic features. For this reason, various methods and materials are used to give the conductivity feature to textile materials. In this thesis, it was aimed to gain the conductivity feature of the textile structures in the form of yarn and fabric by using various conductive materials. To examine the properties of the structures obtained such as washability, bending, flexibility, strength, and permeability. In the study, two different conductive materials were applied to two different textile structures, fabric and yarn form. The study focused on the use of graphene, which has gained prominence in recent years with its superior mechanical, thermal, chemical and optical properties. Unlike current studies in the literature, applications were synthesized with a one-step process and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) suitable for industrial use. In addition to the reduced graphene oxide (rGO), polyaniline (PANI) polymer contained in conductive materials was also used. Impregnation and pulling methods, which are widely used in textile applications, textile finishing processes, are taken as a basis. In applications made with the impregnation and pulling method, rGO nanosuspensions were applied to cotton/polyester woven fabric samples in different application cycles or times. The effect of application cycle and time on conductivity was determined. In order to determine the washability of the sample fabrics, washing was carried out at a temperature of 40 ° C and 60 ° C for 30 minutes in a detergent environment for 1 to 10 minutes. To determine the change in the conductivity of the sample fabrics against the friction effect occurring during the use of textile products, 500 and 2000 repetitions were applied. In addition, conductive textile fabrics were deformed in various directions in order to evaluate the electrical stability after repeated bending/twisting and reversing movements. Besides, the sample fabrics were extended to 20% 5 times. After washing, rubbing and bending tests, the electrical conductivity properties of the fabrics were analyzed and the conductivity was expressed with the resistance values obtained. Although the two-probe measurement method was used to determine the resistance values, the analysis was also performed with the four-probe measurement method in the selected samples. In this thesis, the impregnation method in terms of fabric application method has the conductivity feature after the effects such as washing, rubbing, bending-bending, having resistance values less than 100 kΩ of the reduced graphene oxide (rGO) synthesized by a single-step process in terms of conductive material. It has been determined that it provides a stable textile structure. In the study, a simple illumination mechanism containing LED bulbs was prepared using rGO-containing fabrics and it was observed that even 10 times washed fabrics could illuminated the bulb. In order to determine the effect of the rGO application on the mechanical properties of the fabrics such as tear and tensile strengths and the breaking elongation properties were tested. It was determined that the rGO application did not have a significant effect in terms of mechanical properties. Today, an ideal conductive textile is expected to be flexible, bendable, and breathable as well as conductive. For this reason, in this study, air permeability and bending stiffness properties, which are also related to fabric comfort, were examined. It was determined that the air permeability values decreased after the rGO application compared to the reference fabrics, but the air permeability values of the fabrics improved after 1 wash. In the second part of the thesis, during the classical ring spinning process, an alternative method based on feeding conductive material solutions to fiber bundles that have not yet turned into yarn form was used and yarns with Ne 16/1 knitwear twist were produced. The effect of different fiber types and nanosuspension feed quantities in yarn production mainly with rGO-containing nanosuspensions had been examined and the appropriate fiber type and optimum feed amount have been decided. In order to determine whether the obtained conductive feature yarns are suitable for industrial processes. The yarns were subjected to winding and knitting processes where yarn-metal friction occurred intensely and it was determined that the yarns with a certain degree of conductivity still retain their conductivity feature even after friction and mechanical stresses. In order to evaluate the conductivity properties of fabrics after washing, knitted fabrics were washed at 40°C for 30 minutes in a detergent environment and resistance values were measured with the four-probe method. It was determined that the resistance value, which was 1.64 kΩ before washing and increased to 7.66 kΩ after 1 time washed. The tensile properties of the yarns obtained by the alternative method were examined and it was determined that the conductive yarns had a comparable yarn strength and tensile elongation values comparable to reference yarns. In order to evaluate the breathability of knitted fabrics obtained from rGO-containing yarns, the air permeability property has been tested and it has been determined that fabrics of conductive yarns have higher values than fabrics of reference yarns. Within the scope of the thesis, the textile structures with conductive properties obtained by impregnation and alternative application method. It is thought that it can be used in antistatic textile structures, applications for electromagnetic shielding, and high value-added textile products such as strain sensors. On the other hand, unlike impregnation and pulling methods, technical yarns and fabrics with various functional features, especially conductivity, with less alternative water and wastewater formation, which do not require disposal of an unused solution, with a more environmentalist approach, can be produce. However, with the alternative method based on the application of open fiber bundle, more comfortable technical products can be obtained by protecting the lightweight, flexible, bendable, permeable and breathable structures of textile materials. In the study, a simple illumination mechanism containing LED bulbs was prepared using rGO-containing fabrics and it was observed that even 10 times washed fabrics could illuminated the bulb. In order to determine the effect of the rGO application on the mechanical properties of the fabrics such as tear and tensile strengths and the breaking elongation properties were tested. It was determined that the rGO application did not have a significant effect in terms of mechanical properties. Today, an ideal conductive textile is expected to be flexible, bendable, and breathable as well as conductive. For this reason, in this study, air permeability and bending stiffness properties, which are also related to fabric comfort, were examined. It was determined that the air permeability values decreased after the rGO application compared to the reference fabrics, but the air permeability values of the fabrics improved after 1 wash. In the second part of the thesis, during the classical ring spinning process, an alternative method based on feeding conductive material solutions to fiber bundles that have not yet turned into yarn form was used and yarns with Ne 16/1 knitwear twist were produced. The effect of different fiber types and nanosuspension feed quantities in yarn production mainly with rGO-containing nanosuspensions had been examined and the appropriate fiber type and optimum feed amount have been decided. In order to determine whether the obtained conductive feature yarns are suitable for industrial processes. The yarns were subjected to winding and knitting processes where yarn-metal friction occurred intensely and it was determined that the yarns with a certain degree of conductivity still retain their conductivity feature even after friction and mechanical stresses. In order to evaluate the conductivity properties of fabrics after washing, knitted fabrics were washed at 40°C for 30 minutes in a detergent environment and resistance values were measured with the four-probe method. It was determined that the resistance value, which was 1.64 kΩ before washing and increased to 7.66 kΩ after 1 time washed. The tensile properties of the yarns obtained by the alternative method were examined and it was determined that the conductive yarns had a comparable yarn strength and tensile elongation values comparable to reference yarns. In order to evaluate the breathability of knitted fabrics obtained from rGO-containing yarns, the air permeability property has been tested and it has been determined that fabrics of conductive yarns have higher values than fabrics of reference yarns. Within the scope of the thesis, the textile structures with conductive properties obtained by impregnation and alternative application method. It is thought that it can be used in antistatic textile structures, applications for electromagnetic shielding, and high value-added textile products such as strain sensors. On the other hand, unlike impregnation and pulling methods, technical yarns and fabrics with various functional features, especially conductivity, with less alternative water and wastewater formation, which do not require disposal of an unused solution, with a more environmentalist approach, can be produce. However, with the alternative method based on the application of open fiber bundle, more comfortable technical products can be obtained by protecting the lightweight, flexible, bendable, permeable and breathable structures of textile materials.
