Konutlar içinde bulundukları zamanın, ait oldukları toplumun karakteristiklerini, kullanıcısının yaşam biçimini, davranış kurallarını yansıtan mekânlardır. Konut mekânlarının şekillenmesinde topoğrafya, iklim şartları gibi fiziksel etmenlerin yanında sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik koşullar, kullanıcı tercihleri gibi etmenler de etkili olmaktadır. Çalışmaya konu olan Antalya; tarihsel süreç içerisinde farklı devletlerin hükümdarlığına girmiş ve farklı toplumların yaşam sürdüğü bir kenttir. 15. yy'da ağırlıklı olarak liman şehri özelliğini gösteren kent, 15. yy ve 16. yy'da sur dışında büyüme göstermiştir. 17. yy'da sur içi ve sur dışı olmak üzere iki ayrı yerleşim alanı mevcutken, 19. yy'ın ortasından sonra ticaretin yoğunlaştığı kent, 20. yy'da tarım ve turizm gelişmeleriyle fiziksel büyüme göstermiştir. 21. yy.'da ise mevcut sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik dinamiklere göre şekillenmeye devam etmiştir. Tüm bu süreçte, Antalya yerleşiminde eş zamanlı olarak, farklı toplumlar tarafından kurulmuş ve farklı etnik yapı, dini inanç ve kültürel değerlere sahip toplumlara ev sahipliği yapmış yerleşimler mevcuttur. Kalenin kapı önlerinde oluşmuş, günümüze kadar ulaşan Balbey ve Haşim İşcan Mahalleleri bu özellikleri dolayısı ile örneklem alan olarak seçilmiştir. Birçok yerleşimde olduğu gibi bu yerleşimler için de başta tarih ve mimari araştırmalar kapsamında sosyo-kültürel farklıklıkların mekâna yansımış olması gerçeği ortadadır. Tam da bu noktada, çalışmanın ana hedefini, sözel olarak ifade edilen ve genelleştirilen söz konusu farklılıkların, plan kurgusu üzerinden sayısallaştırılarak okunabilmesi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak, öncelikle Antalya kent yapısının oluşumu ve günümüze değin gelişimi hakkında kapsamlı literatür çalışması yapılmış, arşiv belgeleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Alan çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiş, konut özgün planlarına ulaşılmış/oluşturulmuş, alan ve yapılar fotoğraflanmış, uzun süreli alan kullanıcıları ve teknik kişilerle kişisel görüşmeler yapılarak belgeleme işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen planlar sayısal analiz yöntemi olan mekân dizimi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme için mekân dizimi yöntemi dahilinde kullanılan bir bilgisayar programı olan 'Agraph' programı kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada sonuç olarak sosyo-kültürel farklılıkların örneklem alanlardaki geleneksel konut yapılarının plan kurgularının şekillenmesinde etkili olup olmadığı tartışılmıştır. Alanda görülen bozulmalar da dikkate alındığında, çalışma alanında yanlış bakım ve onarımların oldukça fazla ve korunmuşluk düzeyinin oldukça düşük olduğu göze çarpmaktadır. Bu çalışma koruma kaygısı gütmektedir ve verilerin sonucunda yapılacak değerlendirmelerin literatür katkılarının yanında alanda yapılacak onarımlarda restitüsyon kararlarında yol gösterici olması hedeflenmektedir. Dwellings reflect the characteristics, lifestyle and the behavior rules of a society. In addition to physical factors such as topography and climate conditions, factors such as socio-cultural and economic conditions and user preferences are effective in shaping the dwelling spaces. Being the subject of this study, Antalya is a city that has been ruled by different states in the historical process and where various societies have lived. Antalya, which predominantly reflects characteristics of a port city in the 15th century, at the out of the city walls in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 17th century there were two settlements, inside and outside the city walls. The trade was intensified in the city after the mid 19th century. In the 20th century the city demonstrated a physical growth with the developments in agricultural and tourism. In the 21st century, Antalya continued to take shape according to the existing socio-cultural and economic dynamics. In this entire process, there are settlements in Antalya, which were established simultaneously by different societies and hosted by various communities with different ethnic structures, religious beliefs and cultural values. Balbey and Haşim İşcan neighbourhoods, were formed in front of the gates of the castle and have survived until today. Hence, these neighbourhoods have been chosen as sampling areas due to these features. As in many settlements, the fact that socio-cultural differences are reflected in the space within the scope of historical and architectural studies is evident for these settlements too. The main goal of the study is to examine these differences which are verbally expressed and generalized, through the plan setup. The methodology of the study involves a comprehensive literature study evaluated with the archive documents about the formation of Antalya city structure and its development until today. Field studies were carried out, original plans of the dwellings were reached/created, areas and structures were photographed, personal interviews were made with long-term users and technical persons and the documentation task was carried out. The obtained plans were evaluated with the space syntax method which is a numerical analysis method. The 'Agraph' program, which is a computer program used within the space syntax method, was used for this evaluation. As a result, it is discussed whether socio-cultural differences are effective in shaping the plan constructions of traditional dwelling structures in the sample areas or not. Considering the deterioration in the area, it is striking that the wrong maintenance and repairs in the work area are quite high and the level of protection is quite low. This study poses a conservation concern and in addition to the contribution to literature with the evaluation of the data, it is aimed to guide the restitution decisions in the repairs to be made in the field.
