Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, opere travmatik fleksör tendon yaralanmalı hastalarda erken evredeki egzersiz uyumunu araştırmak ve egzersizlere uyumu etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesidir. Metod: Travmatik fleksör tendon yaralanması onarımı yapılan 33 hasta bu prospektif çalışmaya dahil edildi. Hastalar cerrahi sonrası 3.gün ve 3.haftada değerlendirildi. Egzersiz uyumu egzersiz günlükleri yardımıyla ölçüldü ve hastalar tam uyumlu, kısmi uyumlu ve uyumsuz şeklinde kategorize edildi. Hastalar sosyodemografik ve sosyoekonomik veriler, yaralanma özellikleri, eşlik eden hastalıklar, ağrı ve psikolojik faktörlerin egzersiz uyumuna etkisi açısından değerlendirildi. Yaralanma şiddeti Modifiye El Yaralanması Ciddiyet Skoru (MEYCS) ile değerlendirildi. Ağrı şiddeti, Numerik Derecelendirme Skalası (NDS) kullanılarak hesaplandı. Depresyon ve anksiyete semptomları Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ) ve Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği (BAÖ) ile değerlendirildi. Egzersiz uyumu ile ilişkili faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla multinominal lojistik regresyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Hastaların %39,4'ü egzersizlere tam uyumlu, %48,5'i kısmi uyumlu ve %12,1'i uyumsuz bulundu. Tam uyumlu, kısmi uyumlu ve uyumsuz hasta grupları arasında dominant el yaralanması sıklığı tam uyumlu grupta daha fazla bulundu (p=0,007). Multinominal logistik regresyon analizinde dominant el yaralanmasının tam uyumlu grupta egzersizlere uyumu artırdığı saptandı (p=0,004). Dominant el yaralanması dışındaki faktörlerle egzersiz uyumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmadı (p>0,05). Sonuç: Travmatik fleksör tendon onarımlı hastaların rehabilitasyonun erken döneminde %39,4'ü egzersizlere tam uyumlu bulunmuştur. Dominant el yaralanması varlığı egzersizlere tam uyumu arttırmıştır. Exercise Adherence and Associated Factors in Patients with Acute Traumatic Flexor Tendon Injury Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the exercise adherence and the factors affecting the exercise adherence in patients with surgically treated acute traumatic flexor tendon ınjury. Methods: Thirty three patients with acute traumatic flexor tendon repair were included in this prospective study. Patients were evaluated on the third day postoperatively and at three weeks. Patients' exercise adherence was measured with the help of exercise diary and the patients were categorized as fully adherent, partially adherent, and non-adherent. Patients were evaluated for sociodemographic and socioeconomic data, injury characteristics, concomittant diseases, pain, psychological factors and their effects on exercise adherence. The Modified Hand Injury Severity Scale (MHISS) was used to assess the severity of the injury and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) was used to assess the severity of pain. Depression and anxiety symptoms were evaluated with the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the factors affecting the exercise adherence. Results: Thirteen (%39,4) patients were fully adherent, 16 (%48,5) were partially adherent and 4 (%12,1) were non-adherent with the exercises. Among the fully adherent, partially adherent and non-adherent patient groups, the frequency of dominant hand injuries was found to be higher in the fully adherent group (p=0.007). Dominant hand injury increased the adherence with the exercises in the fully adherent group (p=0,004). There was no statistically significant relationship between exercise adherence and factors other than the dominant hand injury (p>0,05). Conclusion: Of our patients with traumatic flexor tendon repair, 39.4% of patients were found to be fully adherent with exercises in the acute period of rehabilitation.
