Kırsal alanların kalkınmasında, istihdama sağladığı katkılarla, gelir getirici etkisiyle, farklı kültürlerden gelen insanların bir araya gelmesi ve dolayısıyla yerel halkın sosyo-kültürel yönden dönüşümüne katkı yapması gibi nedenlerle, kırsal turizm faaliyetleri özellikle ekonomisi tarıma dayalı kırsal alanların ekonomik faaliyetlerinin çeşitlenmesinde önemli bir rol üstlenmektedir. Benzer şekilde yerel halkın dayanışma duygusu içinde kendi ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek amacıyla bir araya geldikleri örgütsel bir yapı olan kooperatifler de kırsal alanların kalkınmasında önemli bir işlevi yerine getirmektedir. Bu doğrultuda kırsal turizm faaliyetlerinin gerçekleştiği alanlarda, kooperatiflerin kırsal turizmin gelişiminde etkin bir rol üstlenip üstlenemeyeceğinin tespit edilmesi çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada katılımcılardan derinlemesine bilgi edinmek maksadıyla nitel analiz yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Verilerin analiz sürecinde ise betimsel analizden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturan Isparta İli Keçiborlu İlçesine bağlı Kuyucak Köyü’nde kurulmuş olan Kadın Girişimci Kooperatifi üyeleri ve yerel halktan oluşan 21 katılımcıyla, derinlemesine görüşme gerçekleştirilmiş ve görüşmelerde yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda sonuçlar yorumlanmış olup, gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara yönelik birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur. Rural tourism activities play an important role in the diversification of the economic activities of rural areas, especially the economy based on agriculture, in the development of rural areas, with its contribution to employment, incomegenerating effect, bringing together people from different cultures and thus contributing to the socio-cultural transformation of the local people. Similarly, cooperatives, which are an organizational structure in which local people come together in a sense of solidarity to meet their own needs, also fulfill an important function in the development of rural areas. Accordingly, the main purpose of the study is to determine whether cooperatives can play an active role in the development of rural tourism in areas where rural tourism activities take place. In the study, qualitative analysis method was adopted to obtain indepth information from the participants. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis process of the data. Indepth interviews were held with 21 participants from the Women Entrepreneurs Cooperative and local people, established in Kuyucak Village of Isparta Province, Keçiborlu District, which constitutes the sample of the study, and a semistructured interview form was used in the interviews.
