Halkbilimi, toplumsal bir olgu olarak belli bir milletin ya da grubun ortak ürünüdür. Bu nedenle her bir halkbilimi unsuru millî bilinci oluşturan yapısal değerlerdir. Bu yapısal değerleri oluşturan unsurlardan birisi de törenlerdir. Türklerin Anadolu'ya göç ederken kültürlerini de taşımış olmaları günümüz Anadolu coğrafyasındaki kültürel yapılardan da anlaşılmaktadır. Kültürel coğrafya adıyla Teke Yöresinin başkenti olarak adlandırılan Burdur da Türk kültürünün hala özgün bir biçimde yaşatıldığı yerlerden biridir. Tören kavramı hazırlık aşamasından başlayarak sonuçlanana kadar geçen süreçte kültürün birçok unsurunu da içinde barındırır. Türk kültür dairesi içinde geçmişten günümüze kadar gerçekleştirilen törenlerin içeriği, zamanı, mekânı, icracıları ve katılımcıları bakımından farklı adlarla anılmış ayrıca her bir tören, yapısı gereği farklı kural ve özellikler taşımıştır. Geleneği temsil eden, kurumsal yapısı gereği, içerisinde birçok kültürel inanç ve unsuru barındıran birer halk bilgisi ürünü olan törenler, Türk milli kültürünün diğer unsurlarından bağımsız değildir. Orta Asya'da başlayan Türk kültür hayatının içinde yer edinmiş olan törenler, günümüze kadar milli kültür unsurlarından beslenmiş ve yine milli kültürün diğer unsurlarını beslemiş ve etkilemiştir. Bu bağlamda törenler, gereksinimlerden ortaya çıkmış Türk milletine ait kültür unsurlarıdır. Çalışmamızın konusunu oluşturan Burdur törenleri, kuramsal açıdan bağlam merkezli bir yöntemle incelemeye tabi tutulmuş ve bağlam boyutlarıyla incelenmiştir. İnceleme modeline göre öncelikle yazılı kaynaklardan elde edilen verilerle birlikte sözlü kaynaklardan edinilen bilgiler bir araya getirilerek törenlerin sınıflandırılması yapılmış ve tarihi süreç içerisindeki değişim ve dönüşümleri saptanarak belirtilmiştir. Burdur törenlerinin icracıları ve katılımcıları olan kaynak kişilerimize törenlerin uygulama ve yapısal biçiminin yanı sıra kültürel ve sosyal bağlamları yönüyle ele alınmıştır. Folklore is the common product of a particular nation or group as a social phenomenon. For this reason, each folklore element is the structural values that constitute the national consciousness. One of the elements that make up these structural values are ceremonies. They are the structures that contain the most cultural elements in Turkish national culture, bearing the traces of deep-rooted cultures from the past to the present. It is understood from the cultural structures in today's Anatolian geography that the Turks carried their culture while migrating to Anatolia. Burdur, which is known as the capital of Teke Region with its cultural geography, is one of the places where Turkish culture is still lived in an original way. The concept of ceremony includes many elements of the culture in the process starting from the preparation stage until the conclusion. In terms of content, time, venue, performers and participants of the ceremonies held in the Turkish culture department from past to present, each ceremony has different rules and characteristics due to its structure. The ceremonies, which represent tradition and are folklore products that contain many cultural beliefs and elements, are not independent from other elements of Turkish national culture. The ceremonies, which started in Central Asia, took place in the Turkish cultural life, fed by national cultural elements until today and again fed and influenced other elements of the national culture. In this context, ceremonies are cultural elements of the Turkish nation that emerged from the needs. Burdur ceremonies, which constitute the subject of our study, have been theoretically examined with a context-centered method and analyzed with context dimensions. According to the analysis model, the ceremonies were classified by bringing together the data obtained from written sources together with the information obtained from oral sources, and the changes and transformations in the historical process were determined and indicated. Our resource people, who are the performers and participants of the Burdur ceremonies, have been handled in terms of their cultural and social contexts as well as the practice and structural form of the ceremonies.
