Salavatlı jeotermal sahası, Batı Anadolu Bölgesi'nde Menderes Masifi içinde, Büyük Menderes kıtasal rift zonunun orta kısmının kuzeyinde yer almakta ve Paleozoyik yaşlı metamorfik kayaçlar ile Miyosen-Pliyosen yaşlı tortul kayaçlardan oluşmaktadır. Paleozoyik yaşlı mermerler ana rezervuarı oluşturmakla birlikte, mermer şist, gnays, kalkşist, kuvarsitler ve yer yer kumtaşları da rezervuarı oluşturan diğer önemli jeolojik birimlerdir. Pliyosen-Miyosen yaşlı kumtaşı, kiltaşı, silttaşı, konglomera, marn ve Kuvarterner yaşlı alüvyon ve karasal birimler ise örtü kayaçları oluşturmaktadırlar. Dora-I, Dora-2, Dora-3A, Dora-3B ve Dora-4 enerji santralleri'nde üretim, reenjeksiyon ve gözlem amaçlı, 3249 m derinliğe kadar ulaşabilen toplamda 35 adet jeotermal sondaj kuyusu bulunmaktadır. 150-171 °C arasında rezervuar sıcaklığına sahip bu kuyulardan toplamda 71 MWe enerji üretilmektedir. Aynı zamanda Dora-I ve Dora-2 enerji santrallerinden yıllık 75.000 ton CO2 (NCG) sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma sırasında; 17 adet üretim, 1 adet reenjeksiyon ve 1 adet de soğuk su kuyusundan in-situ parametreleri ölçüldü ve hidrojeokimyasal analizler için örnekler alındı. Uygulanan jeotermometre yöntemlerine göre Salavatlı jeotermal sahasının rezervuar sıcaklıkları 200 °C'ye kadar ulaşabilmektedir. Meteorik kökenli bu sulardaki 18O ve 2H değerleri meteorik su hattının (MWL) dışında yer alıp yoğun kayaç-su etkileşimine işaret etmektedir. Trityum değerleri oldukça düşük olup, bu veriler jeotermal akiferin nükleer denemelerden önce beslendiğini ve uzun vadeli geçiş zamanına sahip yeraltısuları ile sürekli beslendiğini işaret etmektedir. Na-HCO3 tipi sular olarak değerlendirilen Salavatlı jeotermal sularında oldukça yoğun bir su-kayaç etkileşimi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Mineral doygunluk indeksi verilerine göre bazı kuyularda ve iletim hatlarında az miktarda aragonit, kalsit ve K-Mika çökelimi olabileceği belirlenmiştir. Salavatlı jeotermal alanında en verimli ve sıcaklığı en yüksek jeotermal kaynakların sahanın güney/güneybatı bölümünde yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Faylar ve geçirgen zonlar boyunca aşağı süzülen sular, yaklaşık 4-6 km olası derinliğe sahip bir mağma odası çevresinde ısınarak tekrar rezervuara dahil olmaktadır. Sözkonusu jeotermal sistemi oluşturan unsurlar ve bunların mekanizması ile ilişkili güncel bir hidrojeolojik model oluşturulmuştur. The geothermal field of Salavatlı is located in the north of the middle part of the continental rift zone of the Büyük Menderes within the Menderes Massif, western Anatolia, Turkey and consists of Paleozoic metamorphic rocks and Miocene to Pliocene sedimentary rocks. Although Paleozoic marbles form the main reservoir, marble schist, gneiss, calcschist, quartzites and sandstones in places are the other important units forming the reservoir. Miocene to Pliocene sandstone, claystone, siltstone, conglomerate, marl and Quarternary alluvium and terrestrial units form cover rocks. In Dora-I, Dora-2, Dora-3A, Dora-3B and Dora-4 production wells of geothermal power plants, there are 35 geothermal drilling wells for production, reinjection and observation wells, reaching a depth of 3249 m. A total of 71 MWe of energy is produced from these wells with a reservoir temperatures between 150-171 ° C. At the same time, 75,000 tons of CO2 (NCG) is provided annually from Dora-I and Dora-2 production wells of power plants. During this study; In-situ parameters were measured from 17 production, 1 reinjection and 1 cold water wells and samples were taken for hydrogeochemical analysis. According to the applied geothermometer methods, the reservoir temperatures of the Salavatlı geothermal field can rise up to 200 ° C. In the diagram of 18O versus 2H values, the samples of geothermal waters are located in the right side of the meteoric waterline (MWL) and indicate meteoric origin. Tritium values are very low and these data indicate that the geothermal reservoir was fed before nuclear tests, being fed by groundwaters with a relatively long transit time. It was determined that there is a very intense water-rock interaction in Salavatli geothermal field. The geothermal waters are considered as Na-HCO3 type waters. According to the mineral saturation index data, it has been determined that there may be a small amount of aragonite, calcite and K-Mica deposits in some wells and transmission lines. It is thought that the most efficient and the highest temperature geothermal resources in the Salavatlı geothermal area are located in the south / southwest part of the field. The waters flowing down through faults and permeable zones are heated around a magma chamber with a possible depth of about 4-6 km and rejoined the reservoir. An up-to-date hydrogeological model has been created related to the elements that make up the said geothermal system and their mechanism.
