Ülkelerin ekonomik büyümesi ve refahı açısından kritik öneminden dolayı, ithalatı hangi faktörlerin etkilediği ve bunların nasıl yönetilebileceği önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de sanayi sektörü için hammadde ithalatını belirleyen faktörlerin verileri 2008Q1-2020Q4 çeyrek dönemler halinde ele alınmıştır. Türkiye ithalatının büyük çoğunluğunu imalat sanayi sektörü oluşturmaktadır. İmalat sanayinin alt kalemlerinin miktarlarına bakıldığında ise, en büyük paya sahip olan sanayi için işlem görmüş ve sanayi için işlem görmemiş hammaddelerin ithalatını etkileyen faktörler incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, kullanılan değişkenler olarak toplam sanayi ithalatı, imalat sanayi büyüme oranı, genel ekonomik büyüme, toplam sanayi ihracatı, ithalat değer endeksi ve kapasite kullanım oranı verilerine zaman serisi analizi uygulanmıştır. Zaman serisinin durağanlığını ölçmek için Genişletilmiş Dickey-Fuller (ADF) testi yapılmıştır. Sanayi için işlem görmüş ve işlem görmemiş hammadde ithalatı için iki farklı model belirlenip SUR (Görünüşte İlişkisiz Regresyon) modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç tablosundan elde edilen veriler ile Dizilim (RUN) testleri uygulanmıştır. Seriler arasında eş bütünleşik bir ilişki olup olmadığını belirlemek için Johansen testi ile sınanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, sanayi için işlem görmemiş hammadde ithalatını etkileyen değişkenler; ithalat değer endeksi, GDP, reel toplam ihracat, kapasite kullanım oranıdır. İşlem görmüş hammadde ithalatını GDP, reel toplam ihracat ve kapasite kullanım oranı değişkenleri etkilemektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: İthalat, Hammadde, Zaman Serisi, SUR Analizi.
Factors that affect imports and how they can be managed are important due to their critical importance for the economic growth and welfare of countries. In this study, the data of the factors that determine the raw material import for the industry sector in Turkey were discussed as the 2008Q1-2020Q4 Quarterly periods. The manufacturing industry sector makes up the majority of Turkey's imports. Regarding the quantities of the sub-items of the manufacturing industry, the factors affecting the import of processed and unprocessed raw materials for the industry, which has the largest share, were examined. In this context, the data of the variables used in the study, namely, total industrial imports, growth rate of manufacturing industry, general economic growth, total industrial exports, import value index, and capacity utilization rate, were subjected to time series analysis. The Augmented Dickey–Fuller (ADF) test was used to measure the stationarity of the time series. Two different models were determined for the import of processed and unprocessed raw materials for the industry and analyzed with the SUR (Seemingly Unrelated Regression) model. String (RUN) tests were conducted with the data obtained from the results table. The Johansen test was used to determine whether there was a cointegration between the series. According to the research findings, the variables affecting the import of raw materials for the industry were import value index, GDP, real total exports, and capacity utilization rate. Processed raw material imports were affected by the variables of GDP, real total exports, and capacity utilization rate. Keywords: Import, Raw Materials, Time Series, SUR Analysis
