Bu çalışmada League of Legends oyununun, oyun içi ve oyun dışı unsurlarının içerdiği yazılı, sözlü ve sesli iletilerin, dini ve ahlaki değerler bağlamında analizinin gerçekleştirilerek dijital oyun oynayan gençlerin, League of Legends özelinde, maruz kaldıkları olumsuzlukların tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın konusu itibariyle tarama modeli seçilmiştir. Oyununun bileşenlerinin dini ve ahlaki değerler bağlamında incelenebilmesi ve içerdiği iletilerin kültürel, ideolojik, psikolojik ve sosyolojik boyutlarının da ortaya konulabilmesi için nitel analiz yöntemlerinden olan "içerik", "gösterge" ve "söylem" analizi teknikleri bir arada kullanılmıştır. Oyunun 150'den fazla karakter hikayesini içermesi ve ekonomiklik ilkesi gereğince, 6 farklı sınıftan rastgele örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 5'er karakter olmak üzere toplamda 30 karakterin ve ayrıca 13 bölge hikayesinin tamamının analiz edilmesi kararlaştırılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra oyunun resmi youtube kanalında yayınlanan fragmanlarından konuyla ilgili görülenleri çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Oyun içi görselleri ve karakter tasarımları, göstergebilimsel analiz tekniklerinden olan Barthes'in "çift yapılı" modeli ve Saussure'nin "ikili gösterge" modeli bir arada kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Görsellerdeki renklerin çözümlenmesinde ise Kırık'ın "Sinemada Renk Öğesinin Kullanımı – Renk ve Anlatım İlişkisi" makalesinde derlediği renklerin temsil ölçütlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın yöntemlerinden bir diğeri olan "içerik analizi" için Kuran, hadis ve sünnetle bildirilmiş, konuyla doğrudan ilgili olan dini ve ahlaki değerler; iman, amel ve ahlâk esasları temel alınarak tespit edilmiştir. Belirlenen değerler ana ve alt gruplara ayrılmış, sonrasında seçilen 30 karakterin hikaye ve seslendirmelerinde ne düzeyde yer aldığı, oluşturulan değerler tablosu üzerinden çözümlenmiştir. İçerik, söylem ve gösterge analizinde öne çıkan sonuçlara göre League of Legends oyununun ağırlıklı olarak kötü örneklik teşkil edecek şekilde olumsuz dini ve ahlaki değerler içerdiği tespit edilmiştir.Bu sonuçtan hareketle; öncelikle çocukların ve ebeveynlerin özellikle popüler çevrimiçi dijital oyunlar hakkında farkındalıklarının arttırılması, gerekirse bu hususla ilgili ders modülünün müfredata konulması, oyun içeriklerini denetleyerek yaptırım uygulayabilecek ve olumsuzluklara karşı önlem planları hazırlayabilecek bir hakem kuruluşun oluşturulması, son olarak oyun firmaları ve oyuncuların hak ve sorumluluklarını etraflıca tanımlayacak bir yasanın hazırlanması tavsiye edilmektedir. In this research, it is aimed to determine the negativities that the young people who play digital games, in particular League of Legends, are exposed to by analyzing the in-game and non-game elements as the written, verbal and audio messages of the League of Legends game in the context of religious and moral values. The 'survey' model is chosen in accordance with the subject of the research. In order to examine the components of the game in the context of religious and moral values and to reveal the cultural, ideological, psychological and sociological dimensions of the messages that it contains, "content", "semiotic" and "discourse" analysis techniques, which are among the qualitative analysis methods, are used together. In accordance with the principle of economy and the fact that the game contains more than 150 character stories, it was decided to analyze 30 characters that 5 for each were selected from 6 different roles with random sampling method and also additionally 13 region stories. In addition, the trailers of the game published on the official youtube channel, which are related with the subject, are included in the study. In-game visuals and character designs are analyzed by using Barthes's double structure model, which is one of the semiotic analysis techniques, and Saussure's double indicator model. In the analysis of the colors in the images, the representation criteria of colors compiled by Kırık in his article "Sinemada Renk Öğesinin Kullanımı – Renk ve Anlatım İlişkisi / The Use of Color Element in Cinema – The Relationship Between Color and Expression" are used. For "content analysis", which is another method of the research, religious and moral values that are directly related to the subject, revealed by the Qur'an, hadith and sunnah; It has been determined on the basis of the principles of faith, practice and morality. The determined values arre divided into main and subgroups, and then the level of the 30 selected characters in the stories and postsynchings is analyzed through the created values table. According to the prominent results in the content, discourse and semiotic analysis, it has been determined that the League of Legends game mainly contains negative religious and moral values, which are detrimental examples.Based on this result; it is recommended that the law which covers ,first of all, raising awareness of children and parents about especially popular online digital games, including a course module related to this issue in the curriculum if necessary, establishing a referee organization that can inspect the game contents and prepare preventive plans against negativities, and finally, a comprehensive definition of the rights and responsibilities of game companies and players be drafted.
