Bu tezde Simone De Beauvoir'ın (1908-1986) ahlak ve özgürlük ile ilgili görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Simone De Beauvoir'ın ahlak anlayışı, özgürlük anlayışı ile yakından ilişkilidir. Ona göre insan, kendisini içerisinde bulduğu dünyada, özgür seçimleri doğrultusunda eylemler yaparak ve bu eylemlerin sorumluluğunu üstlenerek hayatı anlamlandırmaya çalışır. Bunu yaparken de diğer varlıklarla karşılıklı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğunun bilincinde olup, eylemlerini bu doğrultuda yapmak durumunda olan insan, bu varlıklara karşı sorumluluk duygusuyla kendi ahlak anlayışını oluşturur. Simone De Beauvoir'a göre özgürlük, insana başkası tarafından verilmiş olmayıp, mücadele ile kazanılan bir şeydir. Ona göre ben'in özgürlüğü, öteki'nin varlığı ve özgürlüğüne bağlıdır. Bu anlamda insan, özgür olmak için başkasına muhtaçtır. Çünkü insan, içerisinde bulunduğu durumun koşullarına bağlı olarak seçimler yapar ve başkalarının bu seçimlerini tanıması ile kendisini var kılar. Simone De Beauvoir'ın özellikle feminizm alanında öne çıkan kadın yani "öteki"nin özgürlüğü sorunu da, kendisinin özgürlük felsefesinin anlaşılmasında oldukça önemlidir. In this thesis opinions about morality and freedom Simone De Beauvoir's (1908-1986) are discussed. Simone De Beauvoir's are understanding of morality is closely related to her understanding of freedom. According to him the human being in the World in which he finds himself, try to make sense of life by taking actions in life with their free choices and taking responsibility for these actions. While doing this, being aware of the mutual relationship with other beings who have to do their actions in this direction, human, creates his own understanding of morality with the awareness of responsibility towards other beings. According to Simone De Beauvoir, freedom is something that is gained by struggle, not given to a person by someone else. For her the freedom of the self depends on the existence and freedom of the other. İn this sense, man needs someone to be free. Because people make choices depending on the conditions of their situation and makes himself with the recognition of other people's choices. The problem of Simone De Beauvoir's freedom of the "other", which stands out especially in the field of feminism, is also very important in understanding her philosophy of freedom.
