Çin'de görülen ve kısa bir süre zarfında tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan Covid-19 pandemisi yalnızca insan sağlığı için tehlike arz etmemiş tüm sosyal ve iktisadi hayatı olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Pandeminin yayılma hızını asgari düzeye indirgemek isteyen ülkeler birtakım önleyici tedbirler almışlardır. Bu durum ise iktisadi hayatı negatif yönlü olarak etkilemiştir. Bu durum tüm dünya genelinde üretim hacminin daralmasına ve iktisadi daralmaya sebebiyet vermiş, işsizliğin oluşmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Genç işsizlik günümüz şartları altında gelişmekte olan ülkelerin yanı sıra gelişmiş ülkelere içinde bir tehdit oluşturmakta ve bu hususta küresel bir tehdit oluşturduğu göz ardı edilemez bir gerçektir. Ülkemiz demografik yapı açısından genç nüfusun fazla olması sebebiyle avantajlı bir konumda olduğu bilinmekte fakat hali hazırda açık durumda bulunan genç nüfus fırsatından istenilen biçimde faydalanamadığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada dünya açısından büyük bir tehdit oluşturan koronavirüsün, Türkiye bazında oluşturduğu genç işsizlik sorunu ve bu soruna yönelik istihdam politikaları ele alınmıştır. Genel olarak pandemi ve salgın hastalıklar hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra salgının Türkiye ekonomisinde oluşturduğu etkilere değinilmiştir. Genç işsizlik kavramı ve genç işsizliğin önemi açıklandıktan sonra salgın sürecinde Dünyada ve Türkiye'deki gelişmeler incelenmiştir. Son olarak istihdam kavramı ve istihdam çeşitleri olan aktif ve pasif istidama kısaca değinilmiş, Türkiye'de pandemi öncesi ve pandemi sonrası genç işsizliğe bağlı istihdam verileri incelenmiştir. The Covid-19 pandemic that has been observed in China and affected the whole world in a short period of time has not only posed a danger to human health but has negatively affected all social and economic life. Countries that want to minimize the pace of spread of the pandemic have taken a number of preventive measures. This situation has negatively affected economic life. This situation led to a contraction in the volume of production and an economic contraction all over the world, and set the stage for the formation of unemployment. Youth unemployment is a threat to developing countries as well as developed countries under today's conditions Dec and it is an undeniable fact that it poses a global threat in this regard. It is known that our country is in an advantageous position due to the large number of young people in terms of demographic structure, but it seems that it cannot take advantage of the opportunity of the young population that is already open in the desired way. In this study, the problem of youth unemployment caused by the coronavirus, which poses a great threat to the world, on the basis of Turkey, and employment policies related to this problem were discussed. In general, after providing information about the pandemic and epidemic diseases, the effects of the epidemic on the Turkish economy were discussed. After the concept of youth unemployment and the importance of youth unemployment were explained, the developments in the world and Turkey during the epidemic process were examined. Finally, the concept of employment and active and passive employment, which are types of employment, were briefly discussed, and employment data related to youth unemployment before and after the pandemic in Turkey were examined.
