<p>Tarih boyunca yaşamış olan uygarlıkların ulaştıkları medeniyet seviyelerini en güzel şekilde ifade eden, ortaya koydukları sanat eserleridir. Türkler ilme verdikleri önemi sanatla birleştirerek, kitap sanatları alanında nadide eserler vermişlerdir. Yazma eserlerin yazılarına özen gösterildiği kadar, hattatların yazdığı sayfaların kenarları da büyük bir maharetle tezyin edilmiştir. Türklerde kitap sevgisinin ve saygısının en mühim belgelerinden olan Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'ler aynı zamanda, Türk süsleme sanatlarının en güzel örneklerini teşkil etmektedir. Geçmişten günümüze ulaşan kültürel mirasımızın unsurları Kur'ân-ı Kerîmler ve el yazması eserler, bugün özel koleksiyon, müze ve kütüphanelerde muhafaza edilmektedir. Kütüphaneler, bünyesinde farklı konu ve tarihlere ait yazma eserleri barındıran birer hazinedir. Bu kütüphanelerin başında Süleymaniye Yazma Eserler Kütüphanesi gelmektedir. Bu çalışmanın, birinci bölümünde tezhip sanatı tanımı, tarihçesi ve Kur'ân-ı Kerîmlerin tezhipli sayfaları, ikinci bölümde Süleymaniye Yazma Eserler Kütüphanesinde bulunan XIX. yüzyıla ait yirmi adet Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'in müzehhep sayfaları incelenmiş, üçüncü bölümünde ise dönemin özelliklerini yansıtan özgün tasarımlar yapılmıştır. Kur'ân-ı Kerîmlere ait görseller, çizimler ile desteklenmiştir. Kur'ân-ı Kerîmlerin XIX. yüzyıl tezhip sanatının tezyinat özelliklerini yansıttığı görülmüştür.<br></p><p>The thing that best expresses the level of civilization reached by civilizations that have lived throughout history is the artworks they have produced. By combining the importance they gave to science with art, Turks produced rare works in the field of book arts. The edges of the pages written by the calligraphers were decorated with great dexterity, as well as the writings of the manuscripts. The Qur'an, which is one of the most important documents of the love and respect for books in Turks, also constitutes the most beautiful examples of Turkish decorative arts. The Qur'an and manuscripts, which are the elements of our cultural heritage from the past to the present, are preserved in private collections, museums and libraries today. Libraries are treasures that contain manuscripts belonging to different subjects and dates. One of these libraries is the Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library. In this study, the definition of illumination art, its history and the illuminated pages of the Qur'an were discussed in the first part, and the illuminated pages of twenty 19th century Qur'an in the Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library were examined in the second part and original designs were made in the third part. The Qur'ans have been examined in terms of composition, motif, color and illumination features of the period it belongs to, taking into account the historical process. The visuals of the Qur'ans are supported by drawings. The Qur'ans reveal the ornamentation features of the 19th century illumination art.<br></p>
