İslamiyet etkisinde gelişen Türk edebiyatında tarihî ve efsanevî şahsiyetlerin zikredilmesi, hatta bazı özellikleri ile sembol olarak kullanımı dikkat çekmektedir. Bu anlamda, görme kuvveti ve ferasetiyle anılan, Cahiliye dönemi Arap toplumunda meşhur olan kâhine Zerkâ-i Yemâme’den bahsetmek mümkündür. Zerkâ-i Yemâme’nin üç günlük mesafeden gelenleri görebilecek kadar keskin bir görme gücüne sahip oluşu Klâsik dönem şiirlerinde remiz olarak kullanıldığı gibi siyer türündeki eserlerde de zikredilmiştir. Türk edebiyatındaki siyerlere öncülük eden Darîr’in Siyer-i Nebî’sinde de söz konusu kadın karakter farklı yönleriyle anlatılmış ve hatta Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi H. 1221 nolu minyatürlü nüshasında olaylar tasvirlerle görsel hâle getirilmiştir. Eserde Zerkâ, Hz. Peygamber’in babası Abdullah ile evlenmek istemesi, basireti, kabilesine baskın yapan Gassânlılara karşı uyarmasına rağmen söylediklerinin dikkate alınmaması ve Hz. Peygamber’in dünyayı teşrifine engel olmak için annesi Âmine’yi öldürtmek istemesi yönüyle söz konusu edilmiştir. Metni görsel hâle getiren resimler, hem olayların geçtiği hem de eserin resmedildiği dönemin zihniyetini ve inanışlarını ortaya koyması yönüyle mühimdir. Çalışmada Zerkâ hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra Darîr’in eserinde anlatılan olaylar ve tasvirleri hakkında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.The mention of historical and legendary figures in Turkish literature, which developed under the influence of Islam, and even their use as symbols with some features attracts attention. In this sense, it is possible to talk about the oracle Zerqa-i Yemame, who is known for her vision and foresight, and who was famous in the Arab society of the (Jahiliyyah) Ignorance period. The fact that Zerqa-i Yemame has a sharp vision to see those who come from a distance of three days is used as a rhyme in Classical period poems as well as in sirah type works. The female character in question was described with different aspects in Darir's Siyer-i Nebi, which pioneered the sirahs in Turkish literature, and even the events were visualized with descriptions in the miniature copy numbered H. 1221 of the Topkapı Palace Museum Library. In the book, Zerka has been stated in the aspect that she wanted to get married to the Prophet’s father Abdullah, his foresight, his warning against the Ghassanids who raided his tribe although not being taken into account. She has also been mentioned in terms of the her wish to have his mother Amina killed in order to prevent his presence in the world. The pictures that make the text visual are significant in terms of revealing the mentality and beliefs of both the events and the period in which the work was depicted. In the study, after giving information about Zerka, evaluations were made about the events and descriptions described in Darir's book.
