Amaç: Herpes simpleks labialis (uçuk) tedavisinde kullanılmak üzere ‘Asiklovir’ etkin maddesi içeren dudak balmı formülasyonunun geliştirilerek, mevcut tedavilerdeki bazı olumsuzlukların giderilip, uyunç sorunlarının ortadan kaldırılması ve ekonomik yöntemlerle kolay hazırlanışa sahip yeni bir formülasyonun tedaviye kazandırılmasının yanı sıra geleneksel majistral hazırlama yöntemlerine değer katılması amaçlanmıştır. Materyal-Metot: Asiklovir etkin maddesi ile kakao yağı, balmumu, lanolin ve karnauba mumu olmak üzere dört çeşit sıvağ ve çeşitli yardımcı maddelerin eşliğinde supozituvar hazırlama yöntemlerinden biri olan eritme metodu kullanılarak, 4 farklı sıvağdan oluşan 3 farklı formülasyon ve her bir formülasyondan 20 adet dudak balmı geliştirilmiştir. Son 2 sıvağ ile tüm denemelere rağmen kullanıma uygun bir formülasyon hazırlanamaması sebebiyle bu iki sıvağ kombine edilerek yeni bir formülasyon oluşturulmuştur. Her bir formülasyon tipinden oluşturulan 20 adet dudak balmı üzerinde morfolojik kontroller, ağırlık sapması kontrolü, erime derecesi kontrolü, kırılma ve mekanik dayanıklılık tayini gibi kontroller gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Her bir formülasyon tipi üzerinde gerçekleştirilen kontroller sonucu tüm formülasyonların tekdüze bir ağırlığa sahip oldukları, morfolojik olarak homojen dağılım gösterdikleri, erime derecelerinin insan dudak yüzey sıcaklığından yakın derece fazla olduğu bulguları elde edilmiş, fakat kırılma ve mekanik dayanıklılık kontrolünde birbiriyle uyumlu sonuçlara ulaşılamamıştır. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak en optimum özellik gösteren formülasyon tipinin kakao yağıyla hazırlanan formülasyon olduğuna karar verilmiş, günlük hayatta kullanım kolaylığı sunan, kozmetiği iyi, hoş kokulu, antiviral özellik gösteren dudak balmı formunda bir formülasyon elde edilmiştir. |

Objective: It is aimed to eliminate some of the problems in existing treatments and to eliminate compliance problems by developing a lip balm formulation containing 'Acyclovir' active ingredient to be used in the treatment of herpes simplex labialis (herpes). Material-Method: In addition to the acyclovir active substance, 3 different formulations consisting of 4 different bases and 20 lip balms from each formulation were developed by using the melting method, which is one of the suppository preparation methods, in the presence of four types of bases, cocoa butter, beeswax, lanolin , and carnauba wax, and various excipients. Since the last two bases did not give a suitable formulation type despite all the trials, a new formulation was created by combining these two bases. Controls such as morphological controls, weight deviation control, melting point control, and determination of breakage and mechanical strength were performed on 20 lip balms formed from each formulation type. Results: As a result of the controls performed on each formulation type, it was found that all formulations have a uniform weight, morphologically homogeneous distribution, and their melting point is close to the surface temperature of the human lip, but consistent results were not obtained in the control of fracture and mechanical strength. Conclusion: As a result, it was decided that the most optimum formulation type was the one prepared with cocoa butter, and a formulation that offered ease of use in daily life, good cosmetics, fragrant, and antiviral properties was obtained. |
